A friend in need
Thus a friend indeed
A bond for time
And a time in bond
A regenerate for truth
For to friendship a commitment
Been there a fortune
An antidote for loneliness
Loyalty a rare goods
A product of friendship
Duty to a neighbour
Thus a friendship is attained
Once flattered with attention
sadness I forgot
Whence favour I met
Beauty I beheld
Friendship a state
of inconceivable leisure
Thus a friend indeed
