Some say life can get you down,
It’s easier to smile!
Please don't frown!
Pick yourself up you fallen star!
Get back in the race!
You could go far!
Live life to the full!
Don’t be sad!
It’s just not cool,
I wonder when I hear these things,
Why do we settle for what life brings?
I don't think I'll ever know why,
I won't settle, I'll just try and try.

Why do we settle for what life brings? There is definitely a difference between to settle and to be content. May life bring contentment to all.
