Alone again with thoughts to collect,
Neath the stars and full moon,
With the suns light it does reflect,
It was not so long, so long ago this day,
I basked in the heat of this suns gentle ray,
It follows me now to bounce off the moon,
To brighten my night before returning soon,
This companion I have by night or by day,
Is the only sure thing in my life today!
Friends come and go as I travel the land,
Family too have all but disband,
I have met so many people through work and at play,
I would like so much for just one to stay,
To be with me now, and enjoy the view,
From this window of life and see what I do,
To share in the things we do every day,
To hold me close when something to say,
I do hope you find me and find me soon,
As I sit here alone with my thoughts neath the moon
