Come with me...
Come with me,
I have chosen you from many,
I think we’ll be a great team, on the journey of life,
Come with me...
Come with me,
Yes, I’m grey and you’re not,
But that offers advantages to you,
Yes, my heart has much less beats left than yours,
But, it will be totally yours,
Come with me...
Come with me,
My neurons have much more mileage than yours,
But when I think of you, they sparkle and go into a scintillating kind of overdrive, and I find myself entranced in a pleasurable daydream about us,
Come with me...
Come with me,
We’ll have a lot of fun, interspersed with kundalini rides of note,
As you add your hand to the plough,
Inviting me to cultivate your ineffable orchard,
Leaving us bellowing for sheer effort,
Come with me...
Come with me,
At times, the ride of life will be bumpy,
Leaving me whimpering like a puppy dog,
And all I’ll want to do is bury my head in your bosom,
And allow its ageless healing power to fill me with recuperation,
Come with me...
Come with me,
Why?
I’m weary of talking with myself,
I want to talk with you,
I want to look into your young eyes and open the deepest chambers of my soul to you,
I’ll let you in where no one has been before,
We will not merely converse,
Nay, we’ll enjoy a fathomless communion,
And I sooo look forward to being allowed to enter your secret chambers and enjoying the incomparable delight of your ancient soul, belying your sparse years on this 3rd orb from the sun,
Oh, come with me, come...
Come with me,
I offer no guarantees,
But, I offer a willing and devoted spirit,
One that still has ‘wonder-lust’ to see more beautiful places, or visit some again,
But, I want to see them with you,
My spirit seeks total union with yours,
Don’t say no, it’s going to be desolate without you,
My hopeful and tremulous hand is open and waiting for yours,
Clasp it and,
Come with me, come my sweet darling,
Come with me...

Irresistible, seductive poetry!! Fine write as always. Who would refuse you??
you're so kind...
Your narratives usually inform, educate and imbue the reader with a feeling of well-being.
This sensuous write is much more personal as you implore some young thing to take a trip with you to Shangri-La. I hope you are answered in the affirmative.
How could such heartfelt entreaties possibly be ignored?
Best wishes...

compliments like this will get you everywhere LadyB, thanks doll...
I offer a willing and devoted spirit... To the one who loves in return, this is enough - especially when those neurons go into a scintillating kind of overdrive. I enjoyed your poetic offering and its enticing refrain.
We’ll have a lot of fun, interspersed with kundalini rides of note,
As you add your hand to the plough,
Inviting me to cultivate your ineffable orchard,
Leaving us bellowing for sheer effort,
Come with me...
I was drawn into this stunning, evocative poem EGT, there is nothing like Kundalini Yoga to awaken the sensual being.

hey, Bill, well, i've had one acceptance, but the one i really want , er, i still havent had the opportunity to talk with her privately yet, was with her all day yesterday, but, i was busy consulting 8 clients, rewarding but draining, here's hoping, at least she accepted my dinner invitation for 2 weeks or so from now, she's also very dynamic, i think she's already 'married' to her career and many humanitarian activities though, sigh...

I'm certain that by the time 'my' comment has made it's way to this poem, you've already been to the moon and back with some beautiful young woman of your liking that has fallen captive to your powerfully alluring invitation!! What a beautiful exposure of a man's heart seeking the affection of a woman!! Thanks for sharing something so beautiful and personal E.G. !!! Let us know how the auditions turn out!!!

Your thoughts have not gone grey. What an impressive, irresistible, sensuous invitation, which single woman who thinks alike would refuse such an invitation interspersed with Kundalini rides.Ah! guruji, what an enchanting, pleasure filled daydream.Lovely lines,"My spirit.......come with me"
It is beautiful! Thanks for sharing. And best wishes concerning your your invitation to the "inspiration-girl".

Earlgreytea, I don't like your poem, it is devoted to a very young lucky one.
It is beautiful! Thanks for sharing. And best wishes concerning your your invitation to the "inspiration-girl".
thank you dear Vyoleta, well, it took a lot of courage to send out the invite, its in her hands now, there's been very positive feedback, but, its waaayyyy too early to say..., this poem has a very personal and fascinating history, which I'm very far from ready to reveal..., if ever, maybe to a few trusted friends... lol...
in mindfulness...

Superbly beautiful with its lyrical form and that of metophoric lines that spurs brilliance,is another delightful piece that was mastered so uniquely, but out of all your very deep, spirited and passionate writes,i still think that ''BEAUTY'' spurs as one of the best classical beyond them all that you wrote, just my personal view ,well done with this one Earl, thanks for sharing this,Bravo
thanks Poet 1
I was half way there now I have to turn around and go back.
