A postcard from Heaven:

Hi Mom

I had a great visit with you
But one thing we never knew,
Is that I volunteered to go
Down there with you below.

You learned just how to be
The perfect Mother to me,
And I learned a Mom's trust
Is most always fair and just.

I was met by family and friends,
The joy here has no end,
I am too happy to be sad,
And do miss the Mom I had.

So carry on your merry way,
I have only moved far away.
We all must learn only love
Is all we take to Heaven above.

I know when I will meet you,
And will be hear to greet you,
For time here doesn't exist
But you remain atop my list.

About this poem:
I posted this, and others,on Grieving Mothers yesterday. This one only took a few minutes to write(I'm guessing about 5).When the passion is right in-your-face,the words flow easily.
Edited:This poem felt incomplete so I added to it.

I like the idea that we were here before our birth, that we start out in heaven, and then go back where we came from.applause angel irish
