When The Dream Dies

When The Dream Dies

Life withers when the dream dies
A storm of tears fills your eyes
A dream lies dead here
Lost is all you held dear
Left alone to walk in woe
For that garden will no longer grow
No mercy, hope, and not sweet or wise
No breath of spring to fill the skies

Just as the petal falls from the flower
So it is when dreams die, for lost is it's power
No beauty of the bloom as it had before
One left to loneliness forevermore
Where once was the gift of love
Grand as if sent from Heaven above
And so must beauty's tear filled eyes
Rain a storm when the dream dies
