To End The Dragon's Breath

To End The Dragon's Breath

On black velvet wings glides a sinister brood

Soundlessly climbing, wings beat, in an evil mood

Exhaling blackened ash into the midnight's black sky

The horrible beast claims it's heights there on high

Where all is seen and his place chosen for his rest

Evil's magnificent beast, a skin of Jade like scales adorn his chest

A cloak to reflect the darkness and armor protected

Invincible and ageless he glides on thermals undetected

Golden amber eyes to piece hearts and souls with fear

His gaping jaws of white daggers dripping a poison so clear

Giant steel knife like claws flashing as he dives and wheels

Death's mystery made present a dragon's breath reveals

Vanquished from the skies of old, yet still the tales are told

A creature of mythic sagas, and evil's magic they hold

Wickedly handsome, savage, and cruel stalking the night

Cast out, a diminshed magical form of pure fright

A mystical strike force captivates our imaginations by stealth

Hunting the skies, occupying the plains of our minds in wealth

Their searing breath blows still today, our minds it's frying

Burning into our core, their majesty is still electrifying

We can see the light of their fire still burning behind those eyes

Aching limbs reacting to their imagined embrace as he flies

Talons tearing at our flesh making volcanic fire in our souls

Rivers of blood and pain bathed in his fire our mind extols

Terrible sacrifices our ancestors made to keep the creature bound

To free us of it's grasp and slaughter when alone we're found

Their souls burning out of control fighting to free us of this strife

Called to the slaughter, their blood upon the ground that we may have a life
