Cat Island

Sea rise sunset
dragonfly moon
exotic island
Sunday afternoon.

Easy living
lost life found
Amerindian
ancient ground.

Herons feed
rich wetlands;
undisturbed coastline
white sands.

Magenta smile
knotted headdress
magical powers
voodoo noblesse.

Colors so vibrant
reaching the sun
passing shower
too much rum.

Coral gardens
limestone caves
could live forever
as an island slave.
