72 Words

You would handwash your socks
In the bathroom sink;
Apply cheap aftershave;
Then use the blow dryer
tentatively;
To remove the stink.

You had a fascination
With my bubble baths
And couldn’t resist.
Kicking open the locked door
To snap photographs
insinuating there was a tryst.

Little did you know;
All those bubbles...
Protected me like a mink stole.
When you learned very quickly
Life changes rapidly
when you’re an a**hole.
