The River Of Dreams

The River Of Dreams

So heavy become the lids of my eyes
As ever so slowly the waking world dies
Perchance to dream I slip off into sleep
Shooting stars and moonbeams in my keep

Vibrant colored rainbows, memories and pictures
Fantastic journeys I take, and love's illusions are the fixtures
From a flowing imagination come endless streams
As safe in sleeps keep I ride the river of dreams

About this poem:
I have not seen anyone with a poem about falling sleep so it just seemed like the perfect topic.

Thanks it just came to me no one had written about falling asleep and it was such an open inviting topic that once I got it started right it just flowed so easily.
