Letting Go

Time not a breath of movement not a sound
Motionless siloettes frozen in place
Erie moment now captured now held bound
Slowly cascading floating to no where

Out of breath gripped by fear clutching for straws
Faces so contorted with deceit blind
Crouching confined inching forward slow craw
Pain recessed into the crevices gone

They danced forms outlining one another
Moving almost as if they were just one
No visions of life just the two lovers
For that moment time stood still and they danced

As they flew from the nest the mother cried
Now empty exposed the nest built with pride

Hi Lucky

A charming allegorical sonnet - to see the nest one has so lovingly built so sadly abadoned is indeed the most painful of experiences...
