Generations

Austerity measures and how it ranks,
priveleged politicians with food a plenty,
so many now going to the food banks,
is this what my generation worked for, to be so empty,

My Fathers father fought in the last war,
wounded and his very life near spent,
worked and died before his pension he saw,
austerity measures is now this intent,

Now the idea of paying more in so you gain,
sliding scale of state pension due,
how many will make the score in the 68, 70, 75 game,
in proportion to population so very few,

How blind are we to be,
this distortion to the working class,
only the rich will ever see,
politicians and governments go kiss my a**.

Thank Robert love the pictorial laugh
As my social conscience is again awakened read Famine,
I hope it stirs those who see life as a bed of Roses the realities of life itself.
