SILENT BEAUTY...

Special time when sun must fade
To praise nature, nights beauty made
Light dims, sun loses strength-heat
Dreams waiting, soon earth will sleep

Peace overcomes, buzz was day
Muted colours subdued, not gay
Sky merges-dark broken by stars
Moon a lantern, guiding you far

Across land, farmland to sea
Lapping waves, shoreline acts free
Breeze stirs wind chases clouds
Silent beauty, understated not loud.

Kathy thank you for your kind comments.....nothing compares with lapping waves and that eerie mist that hangs around water, till the sun melts it away......Kathyteddybear

Thank you, Niah, for taking me to the dreamland for a little while. I can imagine the richness of view - I am charmed and conquered by the beauty of it! It reminded me of the starting lines of Composed upon Westminster Bridge:
"Earth has not anything to show more fair:
Dull would he be of soul who could pass by
A sight so touching in its majesty:.."

Many thanks for sharing!

thank you Ladygwen, and I am sorry there has been a delay before I responded......I might aim to live close to the ocean, but I live in New Zealand, not Australia......which is smaller, but much more coastline......thanks again....Kathy cheering
