About this poem:

This was originally written as a song for a VERY special Irish lady, but I can't find a proviso for songs so it appears as a poem.It is in standard 8 beat time with a tempo of 82. Should anyone be interested I would be happy to supply chords to give an idea of the melody. I believe it is a hauntingly beautiful piece, but then I am biased being the author.

Even the words are haunting. Yes we should make time for our loved ones for "In a Blink of an Eye" they can be gone in an instant. This happened last Nov. to a 27 year old great-nephew of mine.

Keep writing your songs. Maybe someday all of us in CS can say - we knew him when.

Perhaps you (or someone you know) have a guitar so you will have a good idea as to what the song sounds like. I think you will like it, or at least I hope you will. My Irish sweetheart got all emotional when I played it for her on my keyboard on Skype.
