Confession

Balancing at the edge -
Is it possible to expose
The true, gentle, vulnerable yourself
And not get hurt?
Repeatedly burned
By being too close to the fire
Of love and friendships,
I kept coming back for more.
Playing safe
Was never an option.
The broken heart mends itself.
Stabbing wounds and scars
Turn into wrinkles as time passes.
No regrets,
The magic spark of connection
Is worth the trouble

Sometmes those of us with strong emotions can be the most vunerable, but I see emotions as a strength, you expressed great emotions here and the vision was strong and honest, I like it.
