There was a time when all thought was divine And like the sun, I could climb Into the stars and waltz through the universe But along with love comes the reverse. We must still believe in the good and why God put us here to keep the world from
Those seeking the "ideal"one can't see past the idol they have created from their own self-image which is not created from the image in which we were created to be! The Creator shows the meek the TRUE IMAGE in HIS "MIRROR" HIS WORD! I had to write for LOVE'S sake, cause The "LOVE LETTER" has been so proven to me!!
This is about FAITH in what is true & proving It's Self in everything!
9/11/2017 Update: The Memorial is still there with nothing changed. I changed the picture because last year when I took the picture it wasn't completed yet. Now the flag is flying high and proud over the monument! It is now the 16th Anniversary. This event affected me deeply as that is when I started writing poems. I had never written poetry at all or attempted. The emotions in me were so overwhelming that it started to spill out into words as a release of the pressure. 9/11/2016: My town is in the process of erecting a monument to the Twin Towers/World Trade Center, Pentagon and the flight that went down in Pennsylvania. This year is the 15th Anniversary of the attack on 9/11/2001. Highlight of the monument is the two rails that were underneath at Ground Zero. I watched them weld them to the top of the granite stones and became very emotional thinking about what they had been through. There is more going to be done on the monument and I will change the picture when it is completed.
This one was written around the end of July, 2015, during a particularly nasty internal conflict spurned from a Christian telling me that I should burn for my personal beliefs.
This Poem is about God's plan for us from the beginning of time til the end of time

In a moment. In the twinkling of an eye. At the last trump. For the trumpet shall sound. And. The dead shall be raised incorruptible. And. We. Shall. Be. Changed. I Corinthians 15:52
Make. No. Mistake. The Devil. Shall get what's coming to him.

I just wanted to state how beautiful our country is ...
Inspired by personal feelings and also identifying with the end truth revealed at the climax of the 60suk tv series 'The Prisoner' where the late Patrick McGoohan, as 'number six' discovers he is ultimately not a prisoner of 'The Village' but of HIMSELF...as are we all...?

presence ...eternal....flames lick
This poem brings out the rage of a 'Dairy of a Black Woman'. A woman trying to maintain her sanity despite all the evils she has experienced, and her only hope is in God who will not answer her prayers, who will not ease her pain, who will not give her a the peace she begs for, leaving her in misery and an unwanted life.
I don't come on here very often now but I noticed that one of your poets..."looking2share" put up a controversial poem about the nature religion and God. It received many comments...most unfavourable. He stirred up a hornet's nest because he dared question what for some people is the answer to their lives. When you question established religious belief...it's a brave call. I know that most of us cannot accept a nothingness concept of death. We're more important than that. Anyway I just put down my thoughts. I do believe that we are part of a bigger picture but still think we are in the process of finding out what that is. I would hope this poem will generate some "positive" thoughts and discussion.
Longing to see my Lord and Savior where I will be safe and joy alone can fill my heart
Be a giver, not a taker. One day it will come back, Whether it was real or fake, We always get what we gave back.
Thunder Birds approach on the horizon... just before the rain - four-legged's tapping and banging on this old house and its skeletal windowpanes... rain dancing across the tin roof barely touching the gutter, the thunder growls, and south wind
It's the time of the year for Xmas poems. Here's one I revised.
This happened to a cousin of mine who married a dark haired beauty from South America - she wanted to come to America and live like a Queen. Took all his money and went back to South America and now living like a Queen with her boyfriend and their baby. True story. Beware! American women may not be all honey and pie - but at least some of us are honest.
Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes. - Carl Jung
It was written in an hour - though it did form in my head and my heart for the day. Its simple - we are all one - we may have different experiences - but at heart and core are One. John
Just a entry trying figure my thoughts out
I was half awake and half asleep the other morning and I saw this with my eyes closed. Believe it or not - it's up to you.
I wrote this a long time ago. It was what I was feeling and wrote from the deepest of my heart and soul..
My first attempt at a spiritual poem. I think it speaks for itself.
A transcendental spiritual journey...vision that revealed and represented my personal journey the difficult periods and the change that occurred ...overcoming adversity ...inner peace
This poem is written to share a experience I had and a woman I met many years ago whom I believe came to both teach and bless us all ....I have never forgotten her ... she touched my heart.
