My Mom had breast cancer in 1999 and had a mastectomy and survived for 9 more years and passed away from another diagnosis. Also, recently I have had several friends who have been diagnosed and survived. Unfortunately, one of my classmates did not. Wanted to honor them for their the battle they have been through.
At my old church they had a fund drive to repair the old organ. As part of the drive, you could "buy" a stain glass musical note in memory of a loved one that passed away. I "bought" one in memory of my Mom and these notes are displayed in between a glass window in the church with tiny gold plates above the notes with the person's name that the note is in memory of. This inspired me to write this poem.

I miss someone who can enjoy the sharing experience of staring at the stars. Here in my state in a latin American country, I saw a star the other day, twinkling and streching out its shining arrows while alternating between bright blue, splendorous greenish blue, yellow and a very quick blink of a red glitter. No one to share. It misses hard sometimes.

When one falls in love you actually feel like your giving them all of you especially your heart. How many times have you felt that hunger of pain in the chest for the person you care for the one you love. So when we start a new relationship some of us actually do give our hearts.

A little nostalgia in memory and and respect of my long departed Grandmother who taught me many things at a very early age about life. Happy Easter Gram !!! I sure do wish I could find somebody like you again to make me smile. You were the kindest and greatest woman I've ever known.
I wrote this about my dad when I was a teenager. From the time I was 8 years old til I was 14 my mom worked 2nd shift and i had to take care of my younger brother and my dad because he was always drunk. When this was published my dad threw me out of the house and didn't speak to me for 4yrs. I forgave my dad and we are very close today.
I JUST WANT TO SAY I ENJOY WRITING THIS WAY AND I AM NOT SUICiDAL!!!! I write how I feel and I often feel like this life ain't real like its a game idk if I stand alone in this matter but i feel this way because of my life experiences let me know what u think
