sun shines brilliantly
and the flowers bloom...


my heart loved you
together forever
she appeared, and love died...

I was walking alone
a car pulled over
we landed in Paris with laughter

Love, comes in many forms
As a mother gives, to her child born
Siblings, with many aspects combined
Comes without rule books, we define

First love, they say lingers through life
Special love, that makes man take a wife
Though there are many twists and turns
Many admit, they got their fingers burned

Women at one time, confined to the home
Only men, it seemed had a chance to roam
Now we hope we're equal, though many doubt
Givers and takers, too many options to count

What we realise, unconditional love is rare
It shouldn't be, but stand back and compare
How many achieve, true Love with another
Along the rocky road of life, we all encounter

I don't know a thing about peanut butter
Don't spread that around
Don't know why you make my heart flutter
Oh darling don't spread that around

The reason I have never kissed you
It would only cause me to miss you
Oh I hope this doesn't make you frown
I just might love you but please don't spread that around

It's been a long while since we've been together
And now that winter time is the weather
Heart shape snowflakes are falling on the ground
But darling I beg you don't spread that around

Don't know what santa might bring you
Hopefully an old memory of me will do
I got lucky at karaoke when you adjusted the sound

Who will be my lover..if anybody will
Will he be a wise..strong..gentle man
With a heart so big it has just enough space my love alone can fill
And eyes that draw me close then cause my heart to flip
His smile melt away my fears, make my butterflies be still

Who will be my soulmate, my trusted confidant
My other half, the one, meant to complete my life
Will I become his darling, will he fondly call me dear
Will he proudly wish to hold my hand and want me for his wife

Who will be my last love
Become my beloved, forever friend
Who will be my prescious one
To have, to hold and to cherish
Until my life here on earth shall end

Yesterday, and all the yesterdays have gone, passed. The mistakes, the wrongs, all our regrets, they stretch back from this time, back to our beginning. Nothing we do, nothing we say, no amount of wishing, no amount of crying will change anything, not one iota. It is as if written in stone. Left it’s indelible mark on history.

Tomorrow and all the tomorrows have as yet not been born. They do not exist nor is there any promise that they will. They may stretch forward for many years to come, or, they might be cut short in the womb before being birthed. All the plans, dreams and hopes come to naught if there are no tomorrows.

Today is the day over which you have power. Today is the day over which you can wield your influence, where you can make a difference. Deeds of yesterday cannot be changed, but today is within your control. No wrongs, no regrets if today is lived much better.

With so many things to write about

Maybe I should stop writing today
But poetry corner is the only house of God
Where I could find a place to pray

Maybe I'm just wasting my time
So why is line after line another line of you

I'll have to wait and see
Where is all this ever going to go
Or will it stay does she or doesn't she

Off into the horizon there is a glow.
Gently rising from the place where sky and land meet.
As time twist and turns the glow rises to its full potential.
Warming mother earth.
It has won the right to shine today.
Leaving the clouds and the rain in the dew.
Today it will shine bright.
It has fought the morning fog for the right.

Not sure what I'm trying to say
Not skilled in the plan of poetry
Not skilled in the plan of life another day is before me
My heart longs for something to write

Should I write of love if I do I'll get to feeling blue
Should I write of life
Everyone knows how short that can be
Maybe just a line or two

How slowly a leaf can fall to the ground
But when the wind blows that leaf can dance around
And take a bow so polite not sure what I'm trying to say

Just a little more and I'll be satisfied
How can I miss what I don't know I'm missing
Once there was a string that someone tied
To a dream that kept on wishing

If I could take leaves and make a kite
Would you hold the string with all your might
I bought a painting for you and soon rain will be in sight
