daddy

i wish i didn't do this
i wish i was ok
i wish the past would lose itself
and daddy would go away.

i'm sorry that i ruined your life
but fact is that he ruined mine
yes-i could've kept it secret
but then i'd be dead and you'd regret it.

well daddy-was it worth it all?
few drinks made the demon call.
well i'm done now
it's all over

in the morning i'll be here with another hangover

yesterdays dreams

Am I scared?
Hell, yes I am.
I'm aware,
Of whats about to begin.

There's a war now, deep in my soul
There's a war now, beyond my control.
I'd love to write about love and romance,
But i guess my life missed out on that chance...

Why am I scared that the truth is finally known?
Isn't this what I've wanted since true colours were shown?

but thinking back on yesterdays dreams,
maybe it's true-nothing's quite as it seems

and not be overtaken by the things you don-wanna..

I see some girls are publishing crazy stuff. Why go thru dat all?
hey girlfriend, dress up. load up, and take it to the mall...

If he treated you all that bad, and you still love him that hard

Here's Johnny!

Got nothin' to say, and I'm sayin' it now,Just toss me a pen and I'll show ya how, I fiddle and scribble, the whole day through..reeking havoc in class the way I do..I disrupt my class on a daily basis,Just to watch the looks on those tortured faces,Who voted me the one most likely to fail,To spend 99 years in the county jail,And my teacher, poor thing, such dedication!,since they tripled her dose of medication, In time I'd be silenced by divine intervention,She assures me in sobs to pitiful to mention,Yes, I'm Johnny be good in your wildest dreams,And you never know what tomorrow brings, I might stay home,or I could drag in late,But whichever I choose is a dreadful fate, For the class, the school, and the public at large,Who humbly kneel to Johnny in charge!

About this poem:
I was a school bus driver for 5 years. But this poem is not so much about my school bus kids as it is about me and the way I was in school. But I had a few kids that might pretty much fit this description. That's why I could relate to them so well. lol.

Flower Child and Sparks Fly

Putting my life together is a constant struggle
People are pieces that don’t fit in my puzzle
Lovers of free will are strangers in my world
What strange odyssey I travel forward knowing
An artificial world tearing away at nature’s spirit
I am so losing my connection to an ancient lifestyle
That strong connection to the land for sustenance
A quest to live in harmony with plants and animals
Searching for believer soul mates in the circle of fire
Each day I give more and more of my energy away
And take less care of the earth for my own happiness
Or just trade my purpose and soul for my happiness?
Let me grow my crops!
Raise my own food!
Wool to make blankets!
Grapes to make wine!
Grow my own wheat!
Make my own bread!
Milk my own cows!
Make my own butter!
Snap my own beans!
Share my life with one partner
Live on my little hippy farm
I was raised to be a flower child
Letting sparks fly around camp fires
And preserving what is truly sacred
Loving our mother earth!

About this poem:

Halloween

Embedded image from another site

This is Halloween I'm told
When witches and warlocks roam so bold
Ghosts appear in the night
To give the people such a fright
Trick or treat the standard cry
On my door don't bother to try
I'll give you no treat, I'll give you no trick
On your way you'll be sent mighty quick
So when it comes to All Hallows Eve
You can take the devil, pack up and leave

The Boy of Fall

The boy of fall
He pulls his weight over and over
Rushing past, faster than the other
Where is it, where is he
The determination in front of him to reach
Shining star to catch
Zig zag back and forth
The crunch of pads and helmets met
Push forward to the reach
Excursion builds as he plows forward
No sound no sight but one
To put that man to the ground
The sweat of practice on his brow
Cheers from crowds in a din
Leather and metal clash together
They fall as one in the crush
Oh my son, oh my son
Born in the springtime for the harvest fun
Your passion abides between the lines
Plow forward between the tide

"Knock"

Curled and furled against ones own skin

the hearing of the heart beat

Alive!

sudden sweeping waves

Who's there?

then creeping
entwined
within the unknown

So beautifully structured

the loss of walls being silence

Alone

A secret peep
Shall I come above my scoria

One only knowes

Forcast

the mind of what was before
angst unruly
shall it be

a mind of matter?

Glorious to seek
Shall I lift this lid?

To only dance open eyed
unfolded

when I was a kid
