Faithful

Old Friend
Happy to see an Old friend in Poetry
Lively Loving Caring and Kind friend
Who's poem was full of Love
Addressing her beloved
With words like pearls
Her poems she shared
Was classic poetry
I missed her very much
Happy to see her again
Her name is Ladyjewel
I called her Diamond Lady
Happy to see her back

~Door Knob Turns~

a step out into another dimension, horizontal breath a frost clings to the air lost in sight. Snow's yet to lay is a finger tip cold night. Perfect night in gaze a spotted night light as hands found the pockets head back in stare. Periph's pickin up clustered cloud a breath catches the air as a tongue to iced steel. Whats past the black behind spots a light as ears start to burn in the cold laden flowed air. Huge deep breath plundered drawn in . . . . . ~

~Did you let her go~

Did you ever have the feeling
That was the best you ever had
Did you help it feel good
Or did it get there
All
By itself.

It's said life's not about love
Yet, if it's knockin on your door
Would you open it wide.

Your face has a smile
That comes from within
Door bell was rang
Fifth time we try.

Walk of shame never happens
When you believe in your stay.

There's a connect that you find
That idles your life where you spend most your time
Tho your heart gets trumped by your mind everytime.

That hand with a finger touching your face
Your mind saw it often
Yet it had to erase
A time in your life that was so
Good for you.

Those sheets full of memory
Washed down the drain
Love you never had
Filled in the blanks.

It's five am, from the sheets you rise
Hands are empty, tho the mind sit's quite full.

Dam it that dream kept it alive
What I wanted in life
Yet your ears that were wet
Failed to see.

Was it you
Or was it me
Arms now arthritic
So much time has passed by.

My words now release you to settle my heart
A place where we started, now time to depart.

THE DRAGONFLY

Tired from my climb out of the water
I crawled onto a lily pad
Trying to balance with a little totter
Feeling more than slightly sad

I had left all my friends at the bottom
Nature telling I needed to leave
Yes the view up here is awesome
Although leaving friends I do grieve

I made a promise I would return
But wait – my body is changing
I need to tell them what happens up here
I now have wings and am flying

I am now all these beautiful fluorescent colors

Embedded image from another site

I need to return to tell the good news
But all I can do is skim the water in flutters
Look up – lookup through the water and peruse

We come from the bottom of the earth
Then are called to the surface
Going through a transformation and rebirth
For a whole new life and purpose

Look up – look up above and see
God has given us a new body in life
Look up and see how beautiful you will be
You will leave the darkness too and arise

My favourite flowers

If you really want to please her
Present a bouquet of
freesia
Purple, orange, pink and white
Delicate petal delight
Heavenly aroma
Uplifts my heart
God's creation
A work of art
So when I'm poorly
Don't give me
Milk of magnesia
If you wish to please me
A bouquet of freesia

my love story

A Man scruffy and in work pants walked into a family gathering,
I felt the hairs on my neck tingle as his eyes held mine.

He smiled and flirted then left and was gone,
a week later a call at work brought him back into my life.

Slowly his words and soft yet strong actions drew me closer,
and his kisses melted me.

Each day i thank the universe for sending him to me,
and each day I hope it will not be the last.

Still so scared inside that i am not meant to have a forever after,
but maybe God decided to give me one after all.

Time will tell.

Sending love and hugs to the precious poets here that i see are still making this place magical.

Real Life

AThumb swipped slowly over red painted lips,
smudged lipstick and parted lips, soft sighs floating to his ears, eyes closed and tears falling softly down cheeks that are a pale pink, to scared to open her eyes.

she knows when she opens her eyes he will not be there because he is not real and never will be, from now she will hold him in her dreams and not expect more.

She turns over and hugs the pillow and as morning comes the real world closes in and she knows he will be lost untill the moon shows her face again and she can again believe in a dream.

Love

A day with you brings hope of love, we both wear rings on our fingers too seal our love.
Comfort and happiness these are but a few, I stare into your eyes to study the view.
My hand holds your hand and will hold fast; my heart and my body tell me this will last.
Now I have you close, very close and holding you tight. Wow I’m a lucky guy as my mind screams out in delight.
So, rivers and streams may hit the seashore, but my hands over your body caresses my heart and soul forever more.

Jungle tales

The mud cracks on the jungle floor
the heat rises in a limp haze
a roar of birds aloft in the treetops
I take a bearing
its south to the town
but all I can see is endless growth
Wiping the sweat from my brow
I put down the rifle and open a bag of gold nuggets
three months of toil and this the reward
I laugh, for in this solitude I have learnt to regale the nature spirits
worthy companions, reclusive
Last night I dreamt of celebration
a senorita by my bed
when she spoke it was as if heaven had anointed her
to become my companion
but I awoke to only insects buzzing
and the wash of a waterfall
I pick up the trail again
for I must make the town before nightfall
lest evil befall a brazen soul
under the shafts of a familiar moon

A Dove

A Dove, soft and grey, walking unafraid in a garden of cats.

A Black bird perched on a tree, watching the world from above.

A second dove flew down and sat with the first, beaks touching, cooing softly.

I was the Dove, and the blackbird.

To find the Second dove, to touch, but with minds, bodies and souls would be magical.

But, I have found that a Dove can fly alone and be ok.

Watching the garden outside, eating ice-cream and wondering why I am back.
