Life and love

Life & love
I do remember my first love
At sweet sixteen to seventeen,
I didn’t doubt my young lover
Until I realised it was all over,
Betrayed I felt to the bone
Moved on I did on my own,
My second was great and lasted for years
It grew in strength with laughter and tears,
Only ending in pain for us both to feel
I do know for sure this love was real,
Moving on to the deepest love of all
I did not realise how hard I could fall,
You left me in turmoil and despair
A broken man in need of repair,
We met again after many years
And enjoyed the closeness we once shared
The love was still there I felt it for sure
As if time had stood still if only it could,
You left the next day as you said you should.
I think of you often,I do wish you well
Too many years I’ve stayed in my shell,
Try to move on I tell myself,
Don’t be left upon the shelf,
Find someone new to take away the pain
I have taken relief now and again,
Once was almost real until the bubble did burst
Embarrassing episodes slowly got worse.
I can’t believe it’s 20 years
since I heard those 3 words everyone hears
Don’t take them for granted and use them well
For in your heart you can always tell,
Who makes it skip a beat?
And company is always a treat,
Who appreciates you for who you are?
And truly believes you are a star.
Believe in love! I still do,
I remember it well and it was true.

A journey we all eventually must take

Take care old fool cause nobody else wants to dig you out of your pool

Yes many will come to suggest a way some that may save the day
yet, it's still ultimately our choice of how we want to play

The old cliche ye can lead a horse to water but, can't make him drink
how often it makes us ponder and think

See how youth laughs and plays through all those lost and forgotten summer days

Now our eyes are old and dim and life is viewed in a haze

When we thought we couldn't wait to be cool and grown up now we sit in bed or chair hoping not to spill our cup

As we take our pills and eat the swill looking through the glass feeling like a stupid a**

Watching the world pass us by reflecting those moments of joy that made us cry
Even the sorrows seem to be a joyful sigh

The face we see counting the lines and scars though we wear them with honor under a crimson sky as we wipe the tears from our eyes.

Where is our reward but, to feel the reaper's sword as he prods us along that final path in the hope to reach the house of a mysterious lord

There are no promises in this life nor warranty implied to avoid the strife
Yet, we have choices and paths to walk and much idle talk

We may have had many loves and friends to comfort us along the way with many life's lessons, their value is never a waste for they are our guides and teachers in bringing us to ourselves

No matter how old we get or feel one thing is certain upon meeting the end of our time, mommy and daddy we cry for in leading us through the dark and uncertainty sublime

A journey we all must take alone though we are given the hope of a shepherd to lead us to his home.

Memories of our life may flash before us the good and bad alike those footprints in the sand we look for along the hike
We wonder who will be holding our hand when we reach our final stand

Will our folks and long lost friends be there to welcome us to a banquet that never ends?

One can only hope for such a meet
In the meantime let us pray that our lord will our soul he keeps

New Ornament

When I first moved out I spent 80 dollars on my Christmas tree
Tree was 30
Lights were about 20
Ornaments, star and garland about 30
That was 1996
I have added different ornaments since then
I try to add one new one each year
Snoopy, Simpsons, Southpark, Bugs Bunny, hockey puck
That last few years I have added National Lampoon's Christmas
This is the first time I have spent over 100 dollars on three ornaments
It has Clark, his wife Ellen, and his two kids, Audrey and Rusty
You connect them together with a special power cord
When you press one, then they act out scenes from the movie
Each one lights up as they talk to each other
The whole thing revolves around scenes related to getting the Christmas tree
It takes about three minutes
I can't wait to put it on my tree this weekend

The Quotes Garden - XXII – To whom

"The Quotes Garden"

[ XXII ]

To whom

“To whom
I owe such feelings
Bursting on our ceilings?
Shimmering, vanishing away...

These golden peelings,
Drying out the candles,
- When two shadows pray –
Weeping angels, in a room;

To whom
I give these gentle beats
Which pass beyond the railings?
There is a book with handles.

A red moon holds my heart.
Wide eyes, shattering a world;
Broken chord, for a soothe
- To where your fingers sway –

To whom
I owe a song, beloved?!
The flower of my youth,
In silence, withered away…”

Tobacco on the wind

Tobacco on the wind
I catch it rarely
the first strike of a cigarette
before it gets stale
allows me to transcend time
sends me back to the days
of my Uncle,
stained fingers and fishing stories
rolled his own
Yesterday I caught the smell of smoke
in the country
turned out it was a beekeeper
going about his business
it wasn't such a sweet smell
but it had a similar entrancing effect.

——Into the night——

Into the night I follow. Shadows and ghosts are hollow into the future I creep taking away the night to freak as I seal winding rounds are around winding truths make a sound. Into the night I flee to seek to find a place for me to stake. A shadow of light approaches I kneel to take it on as I heal into the night I flee into the night I flee. Sounding so harsh I take away from the moment. Into the night I go. To find a place for me to show. Into the night you get a fright you take flight to end the darkness of the forever night. Into the night I go. Into the night I let it go, approvals not necessary I run to stay I stay to run into the night I flee.

-——Let me be——-

Coming round looking down the enemy that always around keep my feet solid chosen memories come through I am not clouded by you I see your art I swear we’re apart but similarly taken bound repeating sounds I stay in one place for eternity do you dare take my seat. A memory that’s haunting a belief that’s thwarted let me die let me go I have no more empathy for the show stay away stay clear I’m outta here. Death is not so much a stranger as a friend he never gave up he never gave in. Western foot stamps aloud I cry the raven is in your eye a fountain of life spring into copper I state of mind i will not wonder i will not take a chance to pass this entrance I fall back and turn again back to memories. Awakened of stealth I die today to lead my freedom parade, I guess your stress I’m right nicely dressed. Sages flowers taken but sour ignite the light to run again to freedom what a state I escalate. Today I’m free I scream. So let me be.

The joy of being ghosted

Ah the joy of being ghosted
as you ponder the last thought posted

It starts out like a wonderful time discussing many thoughts of introduction
The hopeful ideas come to mind could this be the one for to make such a production of affections?

Or is it all a load of crap with a subtle face slap? Hence, watch what people do vs what they say while they are just out to play

Yep it doesn't have to be the time of Samhain to have someone drive you insane
They can play their games anytime you arrange

Yet, to be mindful of investment in a few moments of correspondence
Nothing lost but, a few minutes to kill for a cheesy thrill

Yet a note to tell when someone rings your bell you have the option to play for a spell or direct them to go to Hell

In this arena it's a wonderful game
Chatting up a storm with a beautiful dame
Yet, consider the cost basically nothing lost

Easy come Easy go just go with flow there is no rhyme or reason why people do what they do
Just don't let it happen to you.

The Quotes Garden - XXI – Breathe

"The Quotes Garden"

[ XXI ]

Breathe

“Breathe in, -
As in a moment you go deeper;
Deeper; alike a whisper,
To let you in, as my keeper.

Breath out.
And here you are; with me,
- In the eye of a twister –
Whole; - quiet as me;

Breath in.
Just let me be –
The pulse gathering you,
The life in a squeeze –

Breath out.
Now let me freeze
- Within your gentle breeze;
A heart is humming for you.

Breath in.
Let me wait for the cue; -
Tick, tack, - tick, tack, - tick, tack.
- That’s how much I love you!.. -

Breath out.
Follow this maze, to come back,
- Spinning deep, in my heart,
A keynote piercing the crack;

Breath in.
Follow the dot on the chart,
Finding my soul –
A soothe; a cradle; an oasis;

Breath out.
We are a whole; –
Everything what is art
It’s on a regular basis.”

Evolution

Since the age of the dinosaur,
When all of Nature ruled supreme,
Then all was run by Gaia's Law,

And this new Earth was one blue dream,
Before the dawning of our age,
That heard the first tree-monkey scream,

Then whence from Evolution's page,
Stepped out the first bipedal ape,
To beat his chest in hairy rage,

And to yell with his mouth agape,
Then later on savanah plain,
Did he then make his great escape,

As there, now, does a trace remain,
Of his ancient hominid bones,
To lie there in the dust's refrain,

As the Creationist now groans,
To hear me tell of this stark truth,
His fantasy - he now bemoans,

Those fossil bones, in stone, are proof,
Of these long times, (now gone before),
When the cave's vaulted stony roof,

Girdled Man on its dusty floor,
The nascent Human newly mint,
From the long eons of his war,

For the first Eve, was hairy bint,
When so hairy was her glory,
And the first Adam did newly hint,

(Though, well, that's another story),
And so now, to, the Globe at large,
Came our Man all gruff and hoary,

Upon the World Stage, he did barge,
As the hair fell from his body,
The primal brain, it did enlarge,

He walked straight just like a rod - he,
Held up the Earth, like Atlas, now,
With a confidence not shoddy,

But this I say: - I do avow,
"What's become of Humanity?"
With each as greedy as a sow,

In this world's gross inanity,
Ship run aground on shallow shoals,
When all is but a vanity,

His burning of the oil and coals,
Does now heat this sickly planet,
As Earth, it, in the Cosmos rolls,

(Well, I doubt a god did plan it),
So this, his globe, he now must cool,
Or, to everything, say: "Damn it",

Well, yes, Mankind, has been a fool,
With his overpopulation,
And, this, I say, must be his rule:
STOP!, before there is damnation!
