The Specimen Resolution

He bore a burden inside
A dark hole he tried
to hide
but it consumed him as he cried
and wept for more than his damaged pride.

This time, he thought he would find the right way
Fly past go, collect his dough
but unfortunately this was not so.
It seems to me his wings
his wings
were trampled

Normally, this would not be an issue
yet after an earlier encounter
he tried to mend himself
but never healed quite right
not yet ready to take flight.

So Let's look at this again one more time
My heart is like a bird out of the cage
that simply got out yet again
Flew around aimlessly helplessly in vain.
He flew into that cat.

He simply gave up on trying
on fighting
on crying
on loving and dying
on the pain of everything.

Could this have been avoided?
Perhaps, who's to say?
No one had bothered to show him the way
No one to give motivation day to day
No warm shelter where he could lay.

He's not giving up quite yet
He's showing some remorse
He wants to come back and take a second shot
he's fading fast
he won't last
time is past
His eyes, staring upwards, glance their last.
Darkness envelops him.
He is
no
more
.

Here comes that cat again.
He sees his meal.
Ravenously our bird is gone
Vanished
without a trace
much as he lived, forgotten, a footnote
a random fact.

May he rest in peace
May who rest in peace.

About this poem:
Depression has been called a sort of mental hibernation. But for me, it was a mental stimulant, triggering my darker odes and living eulogies. Feedback welcomed

perhaps AWARE should be the word BEWARE ~freecee!~

AWARE DOESN'T MEAN I CARE
so it's like i'm hanging out at a bar one night
and I met Nadine under the neon light
we had a very nice conversation and i thought being friends was alright
but she had another agenda so as to hide from the bright

oh yes, says she, and commands with such conviction
and then her leaving without saying goodbye made fiction non-fiction
because i thought she and me might be friends the way it was meant to be
her to ease the pain of losing the closest one to me
and i to help her when help be her plea

but you see one must see past the flaws of an ex-friend
except when they're not willing to flex or to bend
one day I thought we were friends the next i was grieving
because that's what i aways do when a friend doesn't say she's leaving
(c) 2011 (as if this has to copywritten, it's only to one unforgiving, oblivious and heartless soul who found a way to have a falling out for a reason sshe caused in the first place.....twice.....poets are supposed to have soul enough to say "hey, i did make it seem like we were friends and then took off without a word, maybe he had a reason to feel abandoned, betrayed and all by someone who wanted his help as well...maybe it's easier to say "I enjoy living alone" than iit is easier than to say, "i wish i had someone to live the rest of my life with, but maybe I keep
making the same damned mistake. some people never become AWARE!

Love Hate Thee Tears

Thee hath all love dwell,thou was not same....
Thine staring eyes curled,My heart all flames.
And faded days of love,Goth,open my for new ways....
But fate never did drown,Thou wear me with such embrace.

Thine desire of follows for,The dream all unseen....
And the measure of love,And comes true,for all been.
Holth,same till we wrinkles,For am never been like thine....
But will never apart all,Your heart listen only to Mine.

Thine Way Of Walk

One day with evening downing,just saw thou glimpse by....
And some drop of persp chick on,Ask stare to for why.
And belief of love grooved strong,Some day to be your side....
But life still not fair to,If did feel same for never do hide.

May each morn bloom you with,Flowers smile to have thou touch....
But never forget to tell same,Am only own right,to greet such.
And walk with just hand in hand,Want to soothe of having care....
But do not leave path lend with,Myself to go without,and where.

Passed away

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Because October 8th, 2014 is the anniversary of her death
and the eclipse of the Moon , here is her cinquain entitled:
MOON-SHADOWS
Still as
On windless nights
The moon-cast shadows are,
So still will be my heart when I
Am dead.
~Adelaide Crapsey~ 09/09/1878 – 10/08/1914
October 8, 2014
Lunar eclipse is when the moon appears darkened as
it passes into the earth's shadow. Eerily forboding!
Here is a link to the Poet Foundation and her story. She was published posthumously after her untimely death. The cinquain above was published one year after her death, in 1915.
Growing old
Old age creeps upon my face
Skin now wrinkles
Gone my youth
The smooth gone now wrinkled part of me
Pain in my heart pain in my sole
From my life's toil
My heart ache
From pain older wiser I am now
But still think if my youth gone lost but not forgotten my youth
