How about all the parties, and top business people working together to bring a country back up again.Forget the bickering, and the profit making, just work for the country and the people in it.

Foxxie: Interested in peoples opinions.
Unless they are Anonymous1 in which case I am not interested in their opinion.
From the Left, state intervention for the purpose of meeting the practical demands that the private sector has completely failed to address - in our case today this would predominantly require protectionist policies to restore economic order and balance.
The Right wing - in the old-fashioned sense - for its cultural aspects of discipline and patriotism, and also to facilitate the work ethic and vigor necessary to meet the challenge of enabling protectionist policies.
Syncretic policies and malleable tactics are what is required from politics.
Obviously, a democratic form of government with direct voting, is the best method social engineers have devised to-date to give the people a voice in their own well being and future.
Although the United States is a republican form of government, the idea of electing representatives to Congress has mutated into a corrupt scenario of either ignoring or controlling the people. Therefore, the people need to take charge of their government by throwing out or minimizing the impact these representatives have on our dollars and civil liberties. If nothing else, we can retain the congressional representatives as clerks (at a much lower salary) to prepare the paperwork necessary so we can vote directly on the issues.

reb56: a war might come out of it yet.
Modern war depletes resources more than it would deplete the people draining said resources, and so, could not solve our economic woes.
Therefore, peace is on the one hand necessary to prevent destruction but on the other hand it is also completely unsustainable.
Best long-term solution for global economic problems? Plague. It's no secret to historians that one of the most prosperous times was within the immediate decades following on from the Black Death - social mobility, opportunity and development reached previously unseen levels, it was a golden age.

Funny you should mention that! It's actually the Swiss System! Just vent to vote on some expenditures Government wants to make!
Conrad73: Capitalist? Told you that you were Clewless! Besides,I have been trained in the use of Firearms,so it would more likely be you who's gonna shoot himself in the Foot!

theswimmer: You forgot the most successful system ever to be in existance, a Capitalistic Republic as in what the USA is swiftly loosing.
No I didn't, regardless of the style of government system there is still going to be a broad spectrum of political opinion, be it left or right. If anything the style of governing structure does not play into the question of the poll at all and is external.
Secondly - just because a nation is a capitalist republic does not mean that it is being run well or that it is not being overwhelmed with role duplication within government at multiple levels.
Thirdly - there are a range of different capitalist government systems ranging from republics to parliamentary monarchies and all of them can at times work well or work poor depending on the quality of leadership. Just having a particular style of government system does not guarantee good government.
The question is regarding what everyone personally believes to be the best style of leadership within an existing government to manage a nation through the crisis - not how that government structure is shaped.

Government can not be "Capitalistic" since Capitalism is an Economic System!
It's an enormous fallacy to imagine that government really even wants the economy to be healthy.
They want it to be productive for themselves and their cronies.
That generally involves a cycle of war-boom-bust. Deliberately creating a huge bubble economy, siphoning off the wealth into corporate pockets for as long as possible until the economy gets really sick, and then just blatantly robbing the people through taxes and inflation until the whole economy collapses. The people find themselves poor, but not the bankers who engineered it all.
