Both my wives were 350 pounds. One was size 50, and one was 26W or 28W. Obviously, I am not prejudiced about weight at all. I agree that confidence is an attractive quality, and both my wives had plenty of confidence. If a larger women confidently approaced me for a date, I wouldn't hesitate to go out with her at all. Whichever woman approached me first - the thin woman or the heavier woman -I would date whoever asked me first. First come, first "served", ya know. If both women were side by side, I would probably date the heavier woman, all things being equal. No prejudice meant to the thinner ladies, whom I like equally, but after being married to two of the heavier variety, I have found the heavier ladies to be very happy and loving women who have a lot to offer. Not that the thinner ladies couldn't offer the same things, but, as I told my last ex, "It's just a little more to love." She loved that! So if any ladies of any size are confident and brave enough to write me, and you're not a scammer, feel free to fill my inbox!

Thats a great attitude to have, Hugger, and I applaud you for it.
NAKEDMUDPEOPLE: Some people are just big. Women are voluptuous and men can be stocky.
This is true, but in terms of the women gaining 100 lbs/yr. until she reaches 1600 lbs isn't voluptuous. I am fat but I'm not trying to purposefully gaining weight. I want to get to a healthy weight. In general, though, there are people who are just big no matter what they do.
hairymonkey: Obesity is a turn off. Stupidity is a turn off.
Confidence very often goes with stupidity. The stupidest people are often the most confident, because they're too stupid to know how ignorant and horrid they are, and too apathetic too care. Beyond even that, they actually enjoy and are proud of every horrible thing about themselves, because they're stupid.
What is the subtle distinction between "confidence" and aggression?
The most intelligent people are very often the ones who appear the most insecure. They'll often be called shy, even if shyness has nothing to do with it. They've learned to hold themselves back from a society full of aggressive idiots.
And so you keep going after the aggressive idiots, the ones who are proud of their own gluttony and therefore appear "confident" to you, and then you come back later with your horror stories of what selfish jerks they "turned out to be". And you go around crying about why can't you find any "sensitive, caring" guys.
Well the sensitive ones are the intelligent ones, more often than not the quiet ones, and very often the ones you perceive as insecure, and therefore unattractive in your eyes. Stupidity, aggression, and loudness, go together, and they pass themselves off as confidence.
You have a lot of generalizations here. I'm not sure if you are referring to me when you say "you go around crying about why you can/t find any sensitive, caring guys" but I can tell you that I'm not like that. I can tell you that I consider myself to be intelligent and a bit on the shy side. Then again, I am an introvert. Of course, one of my former professors is a total extrovert, is brilliant, and confident. I wouldn't say that he was agrressive. In some cases, what you say is true but for every case that is true, there is one case where what you've said is untrue.

1600 lbs is the weight of a polar bear... No woman could reach that weight and live. She will be dead long before that.

They had the woman she is talking about on tv here last week. And she really did not look to healthy to me. I agree. Sadly she would most likely suffocate in her own flesh. I for the life of me do not know what she is thinking. It showed what she is eating trying to put this weight on and I don't think I could eat that much and hold it down I fear that maybe she really is not mentally balanced
fieldworking: I created this poll because of an article I read about this 728 lb woman that is trying to gain 100 lbs./yr. until she reaches 1600 lbs. She is a plus size model in Arizona.
If their butt's footprint requires two chairs to sit in at the dinner table.... no, hell no. A few extra pounds to a full figure... yes.

I have seen large people who seem healthy to me. They run swim jump blood pressure fine Obese no I haven't seen that with my own eyes. I have seen them so obese they could not walk. It is very difficult for the children if they have them. Alot of lifes responsibilities falls on the children. Some people carry a little extra weight. they eat sensiably. We are not all one size. I think when you talk about weight and dating it is a preference usually like hair color or height.

I saw it on t.v. too. That's why I googled it. I was curious to see what else was said, if anything at all. I agree, I couldn't hold all of it (the food) down either. I just wonder what kind of message she is sending her kids.

I guess I shouldn've read what I wrote. I am with you on the large people that seem healthy (and they exercise and have normal blood pressure). Yes, the weight and dating is a preference.
GalwayGuy35: No wouldnt date anyone who weighs more than me. Obesity is a big problem in America i think.
Yes, its a big problem, but I really dont think its any worse than any other Western country, Galway. I saw just as many obese people in other countries than I have here.
However, with the US being so big and diverse, I cannot speak for other States; only what I have seen here in NY.

Interesting stats, outdoor..thanks..
I have to admit, it does make me laugh when, on TV, there is a commercial for a gym or a weight loss program, which is immediately followed by an advert for a fast food bargain outlet!

At least NY is #37, my state is # 6. What's that tell you? I guess, you men that like 'em big, move to Oklahoma, uh?

Yes its a world wide problem i agree. I dont think kids are as active as we were at that age. And when bad eating habits and little or no exercise becomes the norm at a young age then it continues into later life.

I dont know how someone would want to be that big, does she not know it will kill her.....
