I do get bitter at times but then I get even. If they only knew!! But they don't have to . . . I do . . . .

Given the results of the poll so far, it seems that the majority of people do indeed find it hard not to be bitter over some things. However, when you read through the thread here, the majority of POSTERS say that it is not worth being bitter. Interesting, that...it is almost like people are ashamed to admit publicly that they can feel bitterness; as if its some kind of fault...
I for one, am not ashamed to admit that yes, I can feel bitterness sometimes. If I feel I have been wronged unfairly, then you are damn right that I will feel it.
Feeling bitterness is not the problem; its how much you let it use you that is..
I was bitter all my life, for the tricks people did to me to destroy my life, so that I could never get on my feet and achieve things. But trying to get revenge on all of your enemies, just makes life worse for you, and you should just try focus on trying to improve your situation or life, putting your energy there.
Sharing my bitterness with others gives them a deep look into the dark side of life.
If they have earned the right to know or feel my pain I will share it.
On a lighter note, why gives others your power, you need it to live a better life.

My life was hard from the first breath.
Bitter is the lessons we have learned. With learning we become stronger, the stronger we get we see the red flags fast and back off.
As far as thanks,forgiveness, and tenderness
I give what I get,
I forgive but remember and
I'm tender to those that need it.

We all get bitter at one point or another but the tougher part is getting over it. My heart is hardened but not because I am bitter; its called survival. I found when I opened my heart to people; they took advantage of me; so I learned at a very young age not to let that happen. My heart is only opened to my friends and family as I know they will always be there for me and I truly love them.
PS:Vodka can be mixed with any drink....
