darlynda: its been about a month for me and i have already made a few good friends and been given some valuble advice. i treasure all of the people here.
djerba: About me, it will be my second day and it's very enlightening. i had to be somewhere now, unfortunately, i couldn't, i have a great time with new nice people i would like to meet one day.

I too have been on less than 2 mo. and am still trying to "analyze" its uniqueness as compared to "real life" relationships. All I know is that I really was terribly lonely here in Mexico for so long, and once I started posting in the forums and making e-mail and IM friends, the loneliness lifted.
So it is what it is. It's a season I'm sure...how long of a season is a mystery...but until it comes to a nice smooth stop I'm going to enjoy the drive with a thankful heart. So, yeah, THANKS EVERYONE!

I've been on here over 2 years, and I've met some wonderful people in that time. I've had some ups and downs here, but it's become more of an extended family than anything. I've left a few times, only to come back because I missed many of the people here. There's been times that I've gone through some rough spots and I've had a lot of support from everyone here and I'm not sure I would have gotten through it without that support.
Many that were here in the first year or so have left but I still keep contact with. Many faces have changed but the lifeline here hasn't. I think it will always be home so to speak.

I don't prefer internet dating. Haven't had the best of luck with it. Not sure whether I would date anyone that I met on the internet right now because of my past experience with it. But I really like the forums and appreciate all of the help and advice that people have given to me here. And I have needed ALOT of advice lately.

internet dating is not too much diferent than real life dating
it is like blind dates
but we arriv to those dates with lots of expectations instead of open mindind and try to know the other before we actually get involved
