Portiea: How long have you been on CS? What do you think? What's it doing or not doing for you? Me: less than 2 months What do I think: For me it's a temporary addiction....just goofing off on the forums....not looking for a relationship so can't say how it works as far as that goes.
Hi
Me, 7 months, I think there are so many interesting people on here. For me it works by the result not the time that I devote for it.

I've been on for about 3 months. I like to have some laughs, communicate, share and observe thoughts, and just basically kill some time.

I'm somewhat surprised that only 3 have listed/voted/ (admitted?) to being on here 5 years or more as others still have their photos up...I'm reminded of some of the old Babylon 5 episodes of the third season wherein a search was made to find some of 'the old ones'; those first ones, aka the ancients....lol! They have gone to sleep and some have passed on beyond our earthy bounds....times and circumstances change, almost no one remains in a limbo situation, spinning our wheels... When I first joined in "05 I lived in Victoria, British Columbia and returning home to Europe couldn't come soon enough. When I returned, virtually all family and real friends had died and so began another time in another place of solitude; I lost all interests...all hope of finding 'that special someone' and finally gave up but I rather liked CS. It is as kidatheart says...a good waste of time, especially for me. Now another 'silly season', temper tantrum times approaches to last til September in which in the heat of numerous moments on these threads, tempers will flare and members will get kicked off the site as every summer; some individually, others in 'clumps' or as many have noted on various threads; cliques. The bane of all websites open to the public. I forget what the record is but I think ten at one time was...is the record some years ago; perhaps Joannie up in Maine remembers better... If members would only stay 'mellowed out' while on line and not flare up, then perhaps those with volatile tempers need not be expelled; in fact, those that have short tempers or are looking for arguments they should really only log on after they have had several six-packs for those who like beer, or a few cases; a couple bottles of wine or bourbon, tequila, whatever and all have a few joints before you start posting . It lessens loosing your tempers and if no one can read what you have typed, no sweat; sometimes it could be better to be laughed at than cursed and kicked off....%D czia9o! uh?

three or four months... i think. time seems to run together for me these days. the forums are a great place to relax, a laugh when you need it, some good advice at times, and in general just somewere for interaction for me. as for the meeting the right one part of CS who knows these days I'm not particularly looking, just focused on other goals in life, if the right one turns up all the better, but I wont hold my breath.
loves2steppin: Heh, good to c ya! written any good poetry lately?
Well, good is a relative term. heh. I've written more in the last week or two since my muse is back in my life, but whether its good or not is up to the observer...

How long? 7 months.
What do you think? Love it.
What's is doing for me? Keeping me off the streets. Seriously, I mainly use it for travel networking. So far, I have hosted 3 international travelers during visits to my city (free lodging/touring/airport shuttle) and 2 have already returned the favor when I traveled to their corners of the world. Several future exchanges are in the pipeline. Two of my pen pals have found "The One" (always great news), and a lovely man flew to Atlanta from Belfast to take me to dinner (not a match, but great friends). I am rating the CS experience "fabulous."
