I think it is more likely he will not cry in front of other male, this makes him appear female and thus weaker, and easy to challenge and beat down. All men cry in certain circumstances, they just don't blabber at a broken fingernail.

Truth is that many males cry all the time. I know of a guy that cried when the poem he wrote for a woman didn't have the desired effect, although, I think the mewling proclamation that he "just knew she wouldn't like it" is what really killed her tingle. Anyway she never called him again.
