Like many of the Hollywood Actors now. JLO, Mariah, Cameron, Demi Moore etc... I think there is more interesting in this kind of relationship. Like the saying that goes "Age Doesn't Matter". Does it matter to you? yay

I had to google the question as it was pretty unclear to me ...

The term refers to a romantic pairing where one person is significantly older than the other. The age difference is at least a decade, but often more. The phrase comes from the younger person being in the "spring" of his or her life (i.e., May), while the older partner is in his or her "winter" (i.e., December).

It is interesting to know that aside form Ana Nicole Smith (whose December wealthy husband died of old age) most of these relationships didn't last too long....

I think it depends on the individual people.

Do I prefer MAY-DECEMBER relationships?

I thought I did ...

Both my husbands were born in December and I was born in May ...

But it didn't work either time, so I've given it up as a bad idea laugh

Judging by my profile views, I'm either collecting pensioners for a SAGA holiday, or they like the May to December concept.
I'll just stick to my generation, thanks all the same.

Age difference becomes less of an issue the more money is involved.

Maybe it really depends on people because there are also guys/man younger than women who are really born matured at a young age and will eventually much more eager to take you to a lifetime relationship.

And also as far today's generation some of these relationships last long, maybe because these guys see a caring/loyal/trustworthy personality to an older beau? Just a thought, I'm not sure.

I think the older you get the less it matters within certain parameters.

I personally wouldn't be interested in dating someone with a big age difference lets say 10+ years younger or older.

But as with every relationship, you have to be attacted to someone and you have to have things in common.

I like older men but there is one band of 20 year olds on FB that I'm nuts about. They're all so cute and funny. They all have girlfriends.

A generation lasts 25 years,so the under 25 and the over 25 years of your real age, should have a chance.- laugh

Yes it matters to me...I have always dated older but I tried the younger thing and it didn't work. He was great but he didn't get so much cuz he was too young to. Although there were some very nice aspects to the relationshipgrinI will stick with the older man.

I personally like to keep an open mind when dating so different ages, distance, cultures, and religion are all possibilities for me. What I am looking for is a good heart, chemistry, and common goals in life and age has little to do with that.

sensualintelect: Hmm interesting your age acceptance still then

well sensualintellect - I do not make a habit of closing doors, I am open to friendships and relationships of all kinds - not just romantic ones

but the trust issues I have with younger men in a romantic relationship are large enough to make that a difficult stretch for me - tho I suppose it culd be possible dunno

I actually get on quite well with younger men as freinds and I like them very much at that levelteddybear

Fair enough, but then no need please to complain about decisions that you made , continue to date/engage the toyboys then complain about them, quite the dichotomy.

Unless of course you are just using them as a play thing of course, and again why would you complain, interesting indeed.
