yes we certainly do, but I believe in the innocence of the young child at birth, and while some neuorologic factors may come into play in the development of a violent / destructive personality, I still believe in the inherent goodness therefore placing causality primarily on the environment. So if an environment created most of the problems. Can a different environment help fix them? (The reasoning behind much in social work and education).
But by adulthood much of the willingness to change must come from within a person, even in the best environments. Why is it so easy to fall and so hard to get back up?

Ah, the age old question - is it nature or nuture? I think the studies they did on rats in overcrowded situations and under duress in the 60s and 70s still hold great understanding to human behavior -

The reason why I ask is because I am getting mixed vibes from you. One minute I think your against but I then see that you would hit women and justify it? Thank your very much for your nice words. He didn't get much of a sentence. He get one year's suspended sentence and he had to do an anger's management course, I think for 12 weeks as for as I can remember. Also, his name is on the list as a criminal now for life with the police....something that I don't have!!

A man should protect her and keep her safe at all times, a man should also not be afraid to show her affection and tell her he loves her. This is the definition of a true man.

Good relationships should foster care,co-operation,love,trust,and being real friends etc. When these virtues breakdown couples should separate and divorce.Once couples hit each other the trust is gone for good it will not come back again. If people think that they still live with each other-- they are kidding themselves. It will only lead to future domestic violence. It is for for couples to spend more time finding another partner more suited to their personality.

1. She is a serial killer and you are her intended victim.
2. She is an armed robber and you have 1 chance to end the robbery.

I myself was beaten up by a guy, an ex of mine and it was an unprevoked attack. I was walking into town when he came up from behind me, put his arm around my throat from behind, tripped me to the ground, and as I hit the ground he kicked me on the head three times and I then went unconcious. He called my severley mentally and physically disabled brother a "spastic" and a "cripple" because my brother cannot walk, talk or hear!
Why am I telling you this I hear you ask.....
I am telling you this because I took that b%%%%%% to the dry cleaners not because of what he did to me but because of what he called my brother. No one and I mean no one will ever, in my life for as long as I am able to stand, will ever, get away with calling my brother a cripple and a spastic, NO ONE!
The police took him to court for what the weasel did to me but I was more worried about what he called my brother. I didn't care about him hitting me. I wanted him dealt with for calling my brother the names he called him.
In the end, the case was taken to court and I won....and I came out of that court case with my head held high. He pleaded not guilty and said that I was at fault....how come???? it was him that was guilty. he left me lying there and only for the staff at the chip shop god only knows what would've happened to me. the cctv caught all the evidence and the girl that saw the whole thing turned up in court and because of this he had to change his plea from not guilty to guilty! she said she never saw anything as vicious in all of her life.
Because of this.....I am very weary now and I am petrified of being out on my own in the town and scared if someone was behind me up close. My heart races and I panic.
Men should not women full stop. It is not acceptable. And any man that hits a woman is nothing but a coward, full stop. The guy that hit me also hit his own mother, a 75 year old woman, pushed her to the ground and knocked her flying out of his way. And this only happened to me in 2008. I'm still recovering, however, I am getting there because there is no way I'd let that
b%%%%%% put me of my feet.
