Oregongold: Actually every nationality has its share of cold people, they might be cold due to the way they have been treated, or they think that they are above the rest. There is good and bad people in every nationality, But the coldest people are the Politicians, once they lose their aspect on the REAL people who make this world work, they become complete a**hole. Lets face it, People aren't weird, people are UNIQUE!
I part agree.. people who have little to stress about are generally more friendly, because they don't have the worries about them..
I don't entirely agree it is always going to be politicians, because I think they come to office with grand intentions, but for exactly the same reasons that we are curbed by our speech, pc , they are too, and often to retain office, they have to follow policies and procedures that curb them...
So , I think what happens then, is while we think for ourselves and our extended families, friends, colleagues, Politicians take on a role to think for the best of their general portfolio, and therein, not being able to please all of the people , they are maligned..
I think this about Obama actually... I think, if he had a free reign, he would certainly do things a little differently.. and he would do it for the good of the majority of the people.
Pom_Pom: I'm just upset that we are not even acknowledged.
Not to worry, I was shocked that Canada was listed which is a first. Not sure if that's a good thing considering the topic is about cold people. Look at the positive side...nobody can vote that your people are cold.

Treat others as you would like to be treated yourself, and most people will be nice to you regardless of nationality. If you're travelling to a another country, you need also to be aware of the cultural differences. A certain behaviour might be acceptable in your own country, but considered as rude in another country.

totally agree...I've learned that even the same word has a different meaning in countries....no way of knowing all that though, guess it's just trial and error

No I don't think so HotrodLarrys. Swedes have been taught to write in the British way from early years! There are spelling differences between the American English and the British English.
