my opinion is that she is qualified to be President but that is no reason to elect her. She was unimpressive in interview and seems not to have deep thoughts on policy so perhaps the electorate might look elsewhere.
I find it really encouraging that anyone would question her qualifications for President when she is running for VP... Is is because of McCain's age, of the fact that it is well noted she is already more qualified than Obama?
I wonder how Biden would fare with the same question...
Not that I know a lot about Sarah Palin...but given her description...interviews and answers....even I know enough that if you want a position...especially an important one like VP...you research everything there is to know about it and everyone involved in it....and I'm not running for VP....it seems she is trying to rest on some laurels that she doesn't have when it comes to being elected and thinks herself above doing her homework....so UMMMMMMMMMM....she may be qualified in the sense of on paper qualifications....but she doesn't have what it takes to do what is necessary when it comes to making proper decisions....obviously something she intends to base on opinion and not fact so how can one decide if a decision is really best for the country...or cause someone else says so....
Under her leadership, (Alaska) invested $5 billion in savings, overhauled education funding, and implemented the Senior Benefits Program to provide support for low-income older Alaskans. She created Alaska’s Petroleum Systems Integrity Office to oversee and maintain oil and gas equipment, facilities and infrastructure, and the Climate Change Subcabinet to prepare a climate change strategy for Alaska.
During her first legislative session, Governor Palin’s administration passed major pieces of legislation. She came to office promising landmark ethics reform to end the culture of self-dealing, and today, that ethics reform is the law.
Governor Palin took on the oil companies and began a competitive process to construct a gas pipeline. Because of her leadership, work has begun on a $40 billion natural gas pipeline – the largest private-sector infrastructure project in North American history – to help lead our country to energy independence.
When oil and gas prices went up dramatically and the state revenues rose, Governor Palin sent a large share of that revenue directly back to the people of Alaska. She also suspended the state's fuel tax.
In office, Governor Palin championed reform to end the abuses of earmark spending. She has used her veto pen to eliminate nearly a half a billion dollars in wasteful spending
As Governor, Palin is chair of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, a multi-state government agency that promotes the conservation and efficient recovery of domestic oil and natural gas resources while protecting health, safety and the environment. She also serves as chair of the National Governors Association (NGA) Natural Resources Committee, which is charged with pursuing legislation to ensure state needs are considered as federal policy is formulated in the areas of agriculture, energy, environmental protection and natural resource management.
Prior to her election as governor, Palin served two terms on the Wasilla City Council and two terms as the Mayor of Wasilla. During her tenure, she reduced property tax levels while increasing services and made Wasilla a business friendly environment, drawing in new industry. She stopped wasteful spending and put the people first.
Can ANYBODY honestly say that Obama's accomplishments look half this good????
Can anybody even list any of his accomplishments????

He out did the Clinton machine seeking the nomination from his party.
He has 50% of this country fooled into thinking he'd be a good POTUS.
He has managed, with the help of the press, to hide so much of his personal information/history from the general public that we really don't know who or what he is other than not qualified.
Can ANYBODY honestly say that Obama's accomplishments look half this good????

I just find it hard to believe that such a qualified woman can't string a sentence together or give an intelligent answer to a question.....but that's just me....

Try watching Obama w/o a teleprompter when asked a difficult question....he stutters badly.
Hugz_n_Kissez: Oh does he....but does he eventually give an intelligent answer though????
Now let's not go down that path...or I'll have to do a lot of U-tube posts...... The press doesn't even come close to being objective....they over look his gaffs. How long did his 57 states comment play on the news....24 hours maybe?
I think the poll numbers are bonkers at the moment and even more suspect than ever... But I think Governor Palin will do quite well in this debate, particularly after Obama's shameful behavior during this economic crisis. Since they have not removed the moderator who has a book coming out about "The Age of Obama" and his brilliant campaign...I doubt she is going to get any kind of a fair shake. The decks are already stacked against her.
And you know what? Do you hear her screaming about it the way Obama would????

Nope. The lady is not afraid
I still think she should say......"I defer to Mr. Biden" after every question. She'd win hands down

Oh yeah I forgot that little mix up...I told ya he was counting some of the provinces of Canada in that number...he obviously has plans of a take over.....
