StressFree: I heard McCain speak today. He made no mention of Obama and voter fraud in the same sentence. No mention of ACORN? Just voter fraud.

Maybe this is a can of worms he want's to really avoid?

No Stress... At this point he does not need to mention it. The investigations have begun and it's Palin's job to do the dirty deeds. That's just American political tradition followed by both sides

Raines has had some dealings with the Obama campaign, but he never held any actual position within the campaign, and his involvement with it was not nearly as substantial as implied here. As the Washington Post reported when a McCain campaign commercial attempted to link Raines with the Democratic candidate, the whole substance of the connection between the two men was that Raines "had gotten a couple of calls from the Obama campaign" in which they talked about "general housing and economy issues.

That's THEIR story and it may be true... but if you were interested in sound, quality advice for your country.... would you seek out the advice of someone who is a proven liar and thief???? Or would you take the high road and ask the advice of someone who's qualifications were just a little less scandalous? In short... would you call a crook?

Not really, I mean in the sense that during the debate, Obama did mention the bomb-bomb song by McCain. That was a personal attack based on evidence...not hypothetical fallacies....If McCain had something, he would use it. Even some oh his supporters have admitted to this. And I heard it on Fox news.

Actually, since McCain has been portrayed as having such a bad temperment, he is the last person who should be directing any personal attacks as his detractors would be all over him. And again, that is always the vice presdent's job. But Obama's "problems" are potentially huge as they COULD border on dead flat illegal. That's pretty much unprecedented in a presidential election (and frankly, I don't think anyone really wants that to be the case as it represents a new LOW for the office). It would be extremely unseemingly for his election rival to be hurling such serious allegations.

Our entire election process, our entire government, and the media (meant to be the fourth estate) needs a complete overhaul, that's actually where I'm usually coming from on these threads.

Well it's better to vote on the facts...and I can see some loop holes in what Obama has been accused of...but really the candidates don't differ much...especially with no sound plan for the economy a this point...which to me should be the most important thing...If you have no economy left...You can't do much else...but put try to put out fires!!!!!!!!!

If Sarah Palin had made just one of the wildly inaccurate statements smugly uttered by Sen. Joe Biden in last week's vice presidential debate, there would have been 3-inch headlines in newspapers across America. (I can almost hear Katie Couric asking me, "Which newspapers?")

These weren't insignificant errors, such as when Biden said, "Look, all you have to do is go down Union Street with me in Wilmington or go to Katie's restaurant or walk into Home Depot with me where I spend a lot of time, and you ask anybody in there whether or not the economic and foreign policy of this administration has made them better off in the last eight years."

It turns out that Katie's restaurant, where Biden gets his feel for the average American, closed 20 years ago. The only evidence that he spends any time in Home Depot is that it appears that a pipe wrench fell on his head one too many times.

Palin would surely have been forced to withdraw from the ticket had she said something like that, but most of Biden's errors were not trifling mistakes like these. They were lengthy Lyndon LaRouche-like disquisitions that were pure fantasy from beginning to end.

Biden: "Lobbyists aren't bad people. Special interest groups are not bad people. But guess what? They're corrosive. People who accept money from them aren't bad people. But it's human nature. You go out Lynn and bundle $250,000 for me, all legal, and then you call me after I'm elected and say, 'Joe, I'd like to talk to you about something.' You didn't buy me, but it's human nature, you helped me. I'm going to say, 'Sure Lynn, come on in.' Just like by the way, if I turn around and I'm elected President of the United States of America and you call me and say, 'Joe, I want to come and see you', I'm going to see you. You helped me.
