Save some of that for those millions of homeless vets Indy.
I'm sure Johnny boy must have sen them from his penhouse hotel room while he was banging whoever. If he was so concerned about the homeless he should have invited them up.
No I didn't ya must have missed it..I said if God said Acorn was innocent the Republicans wouldn't believe him......Thanx for the report...I'll take a look at it....
Hugz_n_Kissez: Exactly and it's all come from someone on that campaign and is still being done from what I understand....if not in public then behind the scenes....It's one thing to say embarrassing truth about someone to expose them for something...which is how it used to be with scandals etc...now they all just made up...with just enough truth placed in them so people don't question the whole story...always lots of smoke but never any concrete proof or truth...and that's what people feed off of!!!!!!!In turn...it doesn't just destroy the persons candidacy...it destroys the persons reputation along with it...there will be people 25 years from now who still believe Obama is a terrorist because they chose to believe this crap instead of the truth...not to mention...when you try to tell the truth....they think you're just lying or covering up something..so ya can't win either way!!!!!!!Yet this is the kind of "win at all costs" campaign the Republicans have chosen to run...My question would be...What happens when someone like that becomes president???? Do you go to war after war after war at all costs because McCain just wants to win and and not because U.S. needs to be there...????????Think about it...his campaign and willingness to destroy at all costs to gain this presidency.... is a good mirror image of exactly what his days as president will look like and it's not a very pretty image....
I agree. I've lost a lot of respect for McCain in the past two weeks. I simply cannot see anything that would suggest that America/world would be better off with McCain as president.
I know, maybe I should start a thread and say that he wants to invade Iran and Russia within a year of his presidency Some parts of the media has suggested that, so it has to be true right?

I think ya should and even if there was only a sentence of truth to it...so what...the rest still could be true...I'd throw in China though too for a really good scare....You should be able to justify connecting China to it somehow...even the only connection is the word war!!!!!!!!

There are Rep robocalls going on calling Obama a terrorist among other things Hugz;
Republicans flood Minnesota with anti-Obama phone calls
They complied with state law on "robo-calls" because a live person made them, McCain camp officials said.
Tim Streeter came home from work on Thursday and did what he usually does -- check the voice mails on his phone at his Edina home.
A woman's voice on the line told him Democratic nominee Barack Obama associated with "domestic terrorist" William Ayers, who "killed Americans." She warned about Obama's "extreme leftist agenda" and hung up after leaving the Washington number for the Republican National Committee.
"It's very disturbing that the campaign has gotten to the point where the Republicans have sunk this low to suggest Obama consorts with murderers," said Streeter, who identified himself as an Obama supporter....

Yep, I first heard of that on CNN earlier this week or last week. Silly stuff or scary.

Very scary, trying to make people think Obama is a terrorist might get him killed. At the very least people will be frightened by a "terrorist" president, at the worst well.....

I watched the interview where the guy was questioning McCain about that and they played the recording and that's exactly what it said...and McCain when asked if he was going to discontinue the use of robocalls...he said he didn't have any reason to discontinue them cause everything is true!!!!!
So that's the kind of things being done behind the scenes...I wonder if there's a call saying Obama is a terrorist!!!!!!!!

I just posted a report of an example of that kind of call Hugz (see above).
McCain Robocalls: Obama Is a Baby-Killing, America-ignoring, Hollywood-loving, Terrorist-Loving ...
...anti-Obama robocalls being made by the McCain/Palin campaign with the RNC.
One of them (listen HERE) says:
"I'm calling on behalf of John McCain and the RNC because you need to know that Barack Obama and his Democrat allies in the Illinois Senate opposed a bill requiring doctors to care for babies born alive after surviving attempted abortions -- a position at odds even with John Kerry and Hillary Clinton. Barack Obama and his liberal Democrats are too extreme for America. Please vote -- vote for the candidates who share our values. This call was paid for by McCain-Palin 2008 and the Republican National Committee at 202 863 8500."
Another (listen HERE) says "Barack Obama and his fellow Democrats got caught putting Hollywood above America. On the very day our elected leaders gathered in Washington to deal with the financial crisis, Barack Obama spent just 20 minutes with economic advisers, but hours at a celebrity Hollywood fundraiser. Where are the Democrats' priorities?"
A third (listen HERE) says, "Barack Obama and his fellow Democrats aren't who you think they are. They say they want to keep us safe, but Barack Obama said the threat we face now from terrorism is nowhere near as dire as it was in the end of the Cold War. And Congressional Democrats now want to give civil rights to terrorists."
A fourth (listen HERE) says, "You need to know that Barack Obama has worked closely with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, whose organization bombed the U.S. Capitol, the Pentagon, a judge's home, and killed Americans. And Democrats will enact an extreme leftist agenda if they take control of Washington. Barack Obama and his Democratic allies lack the judgment to lead our country."...
kidatheart: What makes them any different than the Muslim fanatics they're opposed to? They're all the same, FANATICS!
Shouldn't this be considered an act of "domestic terrorism"?
Those are the ones I posted about that day..the ones infiltrating politics and every other important institution to ensure theirs views get implemented...The Christian Right....

What is illegal about this is that they receive a tax exempt status as a religious/charitable organization.
By doing this they are stepping out from that umbrella and becoming s political organization so they should loose their tax exemption, but they don't.
From a Christian standpoint they are being pretty hateful I think.

I Know I posted a whole article about their history and stuff and the things they are trying to do now to ensure their views get implemented...obtaining political positions..positions in schools...small town governments...etc....and no I would never call them a Christian organization... would call them a hate organization...they are political and and at the very very least activists...and there is no way they should have any kind of exemptions at all....
Skybow: No you didn't bring up the just jealous thing like so many have. I was venting some I admit. I'm very tired of the double standard so you bought into something you weren't doing, I apologize for that.
As far as Palin "never called Obama a terrorist, Muslim or anything else. She is simply showing his relationship with a known domestic terrorist."
I don't think this is simply showing a relationship.
CARSON, CALIF., (AP) - Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Saturday accused Democrat Barack Obama of "palling around with terrorists" because of an association with a former '60s radical, stepping up an effort to portray Obama as unacceptable to American voters.
Palin made the comments at two appearances in separate states.
"Our opponent is someone who sees America as imperfect enough to pal around with terrorists who targeted their own country," Palin told a rally of about 10,000 gathered at a tennis stadium in Carson, a suburb of Los Angeles.
That echoed comments she made earlier in the day to donors at a private airport in Englewood, Colo.: "Our opponent ... is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect, imperfect enough, that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country."When she was first nominated as McCains VP I researched her pretty extensively and found some things in her background that were inconsistent with the image of a reformer with a clean slate.
I've listened to her interviews and found some them appallingly uninformed.
I've seen videos of her at her church claiming God wants her to win. These things have made me uncomfortable from the start and still do.
Sky, thanks for your comments.
You did however point out again =what Sarah Palin said. She said palling around with a terrorist and the intent was clearly linking him and Ayres. What people choose to read into it is up to them.
Your other comments on Palin are your own thought out assessments of her and are valid. I may not agree but at least they are not inflamatory.

Hot_Single_Dude: What is really interesting regarding this election is.........
I just need to have this said, from me to you, not any one else’s opinion (as I know of)
Obama may very well win this election; it is still to be seen.
But your posts here are not one of the reasons, I am still trying to sort out what you have said Obama & co is offering compared to what you say McCain & co have done in the past and will do in the future.
For political lobbying, you have a distance to go - I envy your persistence, but I honestly feel it is like watching one of those Idol shows.
Stay clear of throwing all this crap on the other camp and go into detail why you think Obama is a good thing to have. It could be interesting to read, not this.
Have you ever spent a thought on what Obama needs to face if heading the government? No political programme can solve this in a short time, and the one to take the seat now will be the one blamed later for failed tries. Such will probably be the history of Obama’s first and maybe only period as president.
It could be better tactics to let the other side to the dirty works now and work to get Obama seated in the next period, until then he have had time to build up a more solid CV with experience of political work at the senate.
Finally, the Religious Right even seeks to influence foreign policy. In American Theocracy, Kevin Phillips argues that Bush has been unduly influenced in his Middle East policy by fundamentalist end-times theology and that the president views himself as some sort of instrument of God’s wrath. Many Religious Right leaders believe that a certain scenario must play out in the Middle East in order for biblical prophecies to be fulfilled. They often try to fit current events to match what they see as biblical commands and insist that foreign policy be guided by this controversial interpretation of scripture.

Americans United Executive Director Barry W. Lynn has monitored Religious Right organizations since Falwell’s rise. He has debated prominent Religious Right leaders in the media and public forums. Lynn urges Americans never to be complacent about the goals of this movement.
“The Religious Right is about control,” Lynn said. “From monitoring the Religious Right for so many years, I’ve come to the conclusion that many of its leaders and followers really believe that the American people are not to be trusted with religious freedom, that they might make the ‘wrong’ choice by failing to embrace fundamentalism.”
Continued Lynn, “The Religious Right seeks to reorder society by insisting that the country embrace a rigid set of rules based on a narrow definition of Christianity. The movement’s leaders would use the power of government to force all of us to follow its dictates. This is the Religious Right’s greatest mistake – and its biggest threat.”

Several polls made here in CS about the exact same issue and they are all in favor of Obama !!!!!!!
Latest Electoral votes:
Obama 375 McCain 175 Ties 6
Needed to win...... 270
I love these Results Specially Becasue Florida and Indiana are for Obama as well..... Indyfella and TT are so happy about this as well OBAMA, 08!!!!!!!!!!!
She may be warming up Dude but the fat lady has yet began to sing. As the old saying goes, don't count your eggs before they're hatched. You may inadvertantly give a false sense of security to those Obama supports and they may not even bother to vote thinking Obama has it sealed up. On second thought, keep on going... OBAMA has won, OBAMA has one, Yipeeeeee
Skybow: I don't mean to ignore you but they will have to tear my hope out of my still beating heart. I will not give up.
Oh that’s ok I didn't think anyone was ignoring me and I am not giving up, it just pisses me off every election we all go threw the same thing, we listen to both sides and both sides tear each other apart. They never agree on one thing they can't otherwise it wouldn't make for a very good or interesting race for the American People.
Also if they are a true Republican it wouldn't matter to them what the Democratic Party said no matter if it would actually be a better thing for them, they would vote Republican no matter what it might cause them and vice versus with Democrat’s.
Also about all this hype on the Christian out look on this Champaign is just like all the rest of the hype. This one saying this and this one saying something else about it, it is just one playing against another to get people all stirred up, and it is working by reading this forum.
I VOTE FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE LETS TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY!
Indyfella: Maybe it would be easier just to put anyone claiming any religious affiliation in prison. It's a thought. Of course, both presidential candidates would be there too.
I won't even waste my time reading a biased article. It almost sounds like you'd like at tolitarian type state? Schiavo had a vested interest in ending his wife's life, btw.

It's not biased...if you care to read it...has nothing to do with religion...I guess you didn't read my precursor...it has nothing to do with being Christian...they are extremists...now if this is who you want your country to be run by...then...I don't care if you read it...or you can read the whole thing and get it through your thick skull that about who they really are...cause they're workin on taking over your country as we speak!!!!!!
