Cyn_Real: I did it too to make sure he is using fake pictures or not. I've never had problem about being recorded. One ridiculous rule on this site which states not to exchange Skype only increases numbers of fakers. I broke the rules !!! I used mobile videocall.
LDR needs verbal communication & face to face too even only through screen. Not only writing/reading. Listening to his voice is important to me. If he doesn't have money, then he shouldn't try LDR.

Sometimes people are sincere and sometimes they are not. When it comes to trust it does not matter where you communicate.
I have also used Skype in the past to make international calls. I feel that Skype isn't very safe and yes you can be recorded, but that can happen in messengers as well.

But Sadly even the Phone calls Records are being recorded By Most Governments, and Retained in Files.

So, deaf communication cannot give any information about personality at all.

The only thing most Asian women are interested in looking at is what kind of house he owns and how big is his wallet, personality and communication never come into the equation.
I have skype and occasionally use it. I don't have to worry about being recorded thanks to the NSA any way. Even if they weren't around; I don't use it or do anything that I have to worry about being recorded. I'm just not paranoid about much of any thing.
This is why I've always preferred dating with closer localities. Online can't fully depict a person's personality any more than writing a book back and forth. It doesn't represent their life style, activities, schedules...etc. It does let you see and talk with the person for a better idea of things.
That doesn't mean there can't be any accuracy. It will always boil down to the person's legitimacy and the over all goal on both sides. Hopefully it is noble but we all know that isn't always the case.
I would be more worried if a person avoided those types of chats. Don't take it for granted every one is on the level because they will either. Another choice of many for people to make.

I found some guys on this site are in relationship with Asian women (Teddy, Ed, and many others) and they don't have problem with that. If you don't like Asian and worry about such behavior, don't date Asian. Go date another race.

If the person is honest enough to be themselves, then yes. I've only come across two scams on cam, and I am more video chat smart now. After living in your country for 5 years I understand this culture, I don't agree with it, but the fact remains that it exists today.
The females in China are still regarded as a "Thing" the responsibility of her parents until handed over to her new husband, who then takes over that responsibility, girls are not supposed to become independent, hence the importance of finding someone who can offer security by having a good income and already possess a home.

I don't know. I am not Chinese like some people who seem to know everything say (read my profile). Its your problem with them. Not mine. I don't have problem with my bf and I am not his problem at all. Just go find another race if you think most Asian are not good.

I Skyped with 4 different women on here after talking awhile through messenger first and getting to know them. Skype was the next step, face to face. What came of it was, they all found out how shy I am

Skype is just a tool, used to communicate, to say its bad or can give you problems is rather unfair, it does what it is supposed to do, but the way it is used can cause problems.

I've never had any problems with Skype, and I've been using it for over 7 years now. I think it's one of the best things about the internet overall, next to access of information.
Can't understand why someone would be afraid to use it, unless they have something to hide.

I use Skype in business and personal life, the saving to me in international phone calls is worth it alone, but you must be aware of the pitfalls ie unscrupulous people (psychopaths) who will use it.

MY last g/f but one was a Chinese woman who was staying in Cyprus, on a work permit, she was of course interested in my financial status, I had no objection to this. She was delightful and feminine, so unlike some butch females in the West (It's ok ladies I don't mean you) I would still be with her today but her work permit ran out and she was immediately deported. ( All this was going on unbeknownst to me). We lost touch. lost touch

There ia always a *few* situations we all her of those, but once again in general common sense and smarts usually prevail...IF you on the other hand are doing things that could get you in trouble..well....don't call me !
