Well, hotness goes a long way and in some cases, the long way can lead to nice gifts from appreciative people who can afford to give them
I do agree with you that that sort of question probably comes from the female corner more so than from the male corner. There's also a cultural issue. Most people in Germany rent, most in the US own. Of course the prices in Germany and tenant laws protect renters to a degree that wouldn't be possible here. I suppose on some level I can see the rationale behind asking (male or female), but if a person owns a wonderful house, yet it mortgaged up to their ears, what does that tell you?
I just remembered talking to a guy in Germany once. Also a hottie.. marketing guy He asked hypothetically whether I'd move in to his fantastic place. I replied that I assume he means that I'd pay him rent and the answer would be no because I'm not financing his mortgage without ownership privileges and the burden of having to move if things went sour... all hypothetically, of course .. needless to say, that ended the deal
