Persephoneee: Everyone has different expectations of how the first date should go (lets assume it is with someone you actual like).
What would you say is acceptable to you and what sort of thing would mean that you wouldn't want a second date with that person?
Perhaps I'm a little ole-fashioned, I'd go for the first option.
1. You never know what you might catch.... euwww!!! 2. If the other person is that 'ready, willing and able', it won't be just with you, it will be with others (possibly MANY others)? 3. There's nothing to look forward to.....

SoonerGal: I don't know, usually a kiss goodnight and plan on another date...but then there has been a time when the chemistry was so overpowering that really what else can you do

BerrySmoothie: Yes, I can relate to that...though if the chemistry is explosive on first date, do try my best....to be a lady.
Sometimes it works....sometimes, well....ya just got to go with it...
on a first date after dinner the lady came in her pitch dark living room in a kimono, she said I looked so freightened she got the giggles. I didnt "get" anything. Old age I guess.

It depends on the circumstances. If it were somebody you had been chatting to for ages online, or if it was your first time ever conversing etc. It also depends on chemistry, liability etc. There are no hard and fast rules, not in my head anyway. There is a huge range of activity to be had between 0 and 100
