jac_the_gripper: Maybe it turns some men off.
You didn't allow for that on you poll.
A fair amount of men don't like make-up, perfume and the like.
totally agree with u jac. some women wear too much make up that the only thing they are missing is the nose to join the circus. they look like clowns. no offence to clowns. perfume for me. i would prefer something fruity or vanilla. something from lacoste like a touch of pink or something similar. or even wish by chopard. i loved that one. drove me insane.

I wear just Vanilla. I go round smelling like an ice-cream.
RainComeShine: I have been asked a few times if I ever wear nailvarnish so I guess there has to be a reason for that.
Men understand next to nothing about make-up, but we do appreciate the end results. This is similar to the relationship women have with money and the economy. Nail varnish I see the least point in as I only notice a woman's hands for bad reasons/man hands.

Dragos1: LOL, You know I have always refused to work in salons that did a lot of nail work and that lacked proper ventilation. I think the real turn on for those wild and crazy guys is the intoxication of the varnish when it has yet to fully dry. LOL. they get a bit light in the head and wake up wondering where they had been.
missed ya. hope all is well.
Yeah....the "high" of nail polish.....man, it pongs!

I always have my toe nails painted, don't bother that often with my nails. Thinking of doing it now.
I'm not big into make up etc, but I use some to look groomed/professional however you want to call it. Making a bit of an effort is appreciated by the male species in my experience.
I think it is always nice to see clean, well shaped nails... I keep them this way, paint my toe nails only when wear sandals and choose natural shades. It is a quite ugly picture to see bright painted nails badly maintained. JMO

Fair enough; never did a thing for me one way or another, but--I do like nail polish to use on my paintings; great for different items such as sip, nightclub and bar windows with neon signs; flimsy type gowns and see-through negligés...
I definitely enjoy using varnish on my nails, fingers and toes. The colour depends on my mood...soft natural pinks for everyday, and red 'a la putana' for those seductive evenings.
Some types of women need nothing...not even hair! They even look good in a black dustbin liner!
On them and others make up can look good...including nails done etc buit there is no set rules with what is attractive.
I think its just nice, the attention to detail
It does not have to be taken to the extreme either...sometimes less is more.
Just look at pictures of celebrities caught off guard, you can see the difference...then things are never quite the same again
Women are really good at picking out clothes and taking care with what she is wearing, as well as with picking out and wearing a matching out fit, wearing her hair right to finish the look, and wearing matching make up, and having a matching hand bag or purse to match to the look with great detailed care so everything matches...
....however they can find it very difficult to match their baby to the baby's father! (just kidding!)
