I'm not happy being single, neither am I entirely miserable. I long to be with someone whom I love completely and who returns that love, but until I am my life has to continue with its moments of happiness, moments of loneliness but mostly neutral.

Being single doesn't bother me that much but it would be nice to have someone special to care about and fuss over.

You have YOUR friends - the good thing about friends is that you can have as many as you want and have the time for.
I find it always goes sour if you lavish too much TIME on one person. Its kind of strange, that in affect you can push them away or they can push you away.

completely ignores a large part of who/what were are.

If you have been married and had a great relationship with your partner,children who you adore and always had a happy house full.Your kids grow up and leave and move your partner dies and you are on your own.

I meet plenty of people,and my work involves meeting people from all walks of life but sometimes you can be lonely in a room full of people.That intimate touch that says I love you.
so if you think being single is cool ok but from my past experience having someone sharing the good times and the bad supporting each other and still doing what you want is a much better deal to me.

Yes, but you can pin it all on to one person. If that person for what ever reason is no more, then you will feel at a even greater loss and you would not have spent time building a good bonded circle of friends as a support network. Many dont ever need dating sites due to having that.
