About time they had a female James Bond. 'Jamie Bond" or "Janet Bond"
She'd be more than just pretty too, she'd be inteligent, well able to handle the 'bond boys', and very adept with the gadgets.

I wouldn't like a female Bond.
I want a handsome male hero to save the world, and end up in the sack with a girl in the end.
It just wouldn't work with a female. Women just do things differently than men. Not better or worse, just differently.
Another character could be created for a female role.
Bond was created as a male character, he should remain that.

None of the above imo; McNee was in the Avengers, way too old staid and stuffy; Jack Lord payed the character Felix Leiter in 2 Bond films, I believe. He was the best in the role that had several others. A Bond?? hell no; far too amerian. He was perfect as the CIA agent. Dirk Benedict? He played a Bond type agent in the film Agent 8 3/4…not bad but he was far too reserved in all his roles.
The others, I have no idea who they are really; Stathom and Owen are perfect as thugs from what I’ve seen, but anyone, even Peter Sellers would have been better than that ‘fop’ Roger Moore; perhaps Benny Hill should have had the role...
