I am not sure that Sanders would be Clintons running mate , apart from emigration Sanders is closer to Trump on some issues . Some of Sanders supporters are planning to vote Trump if Clinton wins nomination . Similar GOP voters voting Clinton now that Trump has the nomination all but won , most unusual election . the point is that sanders will bring along the young vote to clintons side, pushing clinton/sanders to a win. the democrats will stop at nothing. there is too much at stake with policy and the supreme court nominations to not give themselves the best shot at winning.
trump's problems, among many, is gary johnson. at this time. he is the alternative to trump for all that can't see themselves voting for him. gary will also be taking away more votes from trump than he will from clinton.
