Errrr, I believe the Boston tea party 'taxation' thing wasn't the straw to break the camels back here in the USA. I believe this country had a successful economy at the time based on its own capitalistic ways, but the chit hit the fan when the King of Great Britain ask for taxes (used to pay for its wars) to be paid using gold, instead of using our currency.

Obama got $8 TRILLION in additional funds and what do we have to show for it other than HUGE debt and more and more people on food stamps as companies are strangled by new regulations... Great! Staggering increases, FRAUD and total dysfunction in health care from ALL directions... Yummy. ISIS and the complete destabilization of the Middle East. Just ducky. A deal with Iran which Iran hasn't even signed but which gives them hundreds of billions of dollars to spend on new weapons and/or terrorist activities.

Pretty much, and I do find the illusion of right/left rather humourous, and also seriously sinister. Both "sides" serve corporate interests, and usually the same ones, not the people they've been "elected' to represent.
This tribal warfare you've been participating in should end, you should all unite and get rid of the corruption in the capital. It's run it's course, and should be ousted, and replaced with decent human beings. It's not too late, but maybe in another 4, or maybe 8 years it might be.
