Every sine I joined up I wanted to fight and die for my country. There is no greater honor. If I was still in. I would have been back from Iraq an of to Ocs to become 11 alpha which is an infantry officer.

Hi wave

Very Admirable I think........

Fighting and dying in Iraq would not necessarily fit with your wishes though.

Elementary my dear Watson.

Lil Will58 and other misguided patriotic young men - i would love for you to see a real war movie like Ryan something - forgot the name, sorry. Spielberg. I'm sure you will feel diffirent looking into the barrel of the enemy's gun about to kill you, that is after stumbling over your comrades torn and bloodied bodies of course.

Oh yes, you can come back in the near future, maybe in a more technical corps. I can see you have the hero substance in your blood, and of course, the heart-touching and fair causes of your country accelerates the production of that blood-compound all the time.

And if you do not die for your country -oh , that´s too bad...well, according to your wishes...grrr! those stupid terrorists do not even have good markmanship- then you can come back (before going into another future adventure to liberate another country) and have the chicks admiring your prowess and falling in love with your paladin nature.

I salute that and also offer my services as an empirical shrink ... and if I can not treat the case then I might invite you to the jungle of SA (where future US liberation wars will be waged for sure) to visit a shaman that knows a lot about Ayahuasca and its power to see into heroic delusions as yours.

Food for thought:
The military wants people who want to stay alive.
People who wish to stay alive, keep the people around them alive.
People who want to die only become expensive Iraq War trinkets for the US govt.
Fighting for your country is one thing.
To die is another.

"the plan for war is never to die but to win"

Iam not displaying Group Dynamics here, but i seriously think that u need some serious Psychiatric counselling.whoever told u that fighting a war is most honourable thing.ofcourse in the context of saving ur nation against invasions is honourable.greatest thing of honour on earth is to make someone smile.iam sure he or she would remember u as the greatest person on earth.

To me thats the most honourable thing--to spread peace and happiness and to resolve others problems so that they can live happily.

In this context, iam not very much satisfied by US's policies and if one dares to go to US,u will also get the same treatment ur president got--sorry if it hurts americans.

All this talk about "country" did any of you "patriots" even bother to read the 9/11 commission report - the commission who was hand-picked by Bush? ANYONE or is dating profiles as far as you'll go?

Had you read it you would see " there is no credible evidence linking Iraq with the events of 9-11"
In other words Bush bombed and killed 70,000 innocent civilians just in the first week of the war.

The other pretext was "they have weapons of mass destruction" So far there has been NO evidence and even if there was WE HAVE THE MOST WMDS. Our constitution provides for DUE PROCESS - you don't kill first then find evidence later.

Bush deserves the same fate as SADDAM who was only convicted of killing 2000 Kurdish rebels who tried to assassinate him.

The 22 page Libby Indictment also demonstrates how insiders plotted to conceal the truth.

People who call themselves Americans should read this in order to have an informed opinion.

By the way I'm not a Democrat- The Wimpy Democrats Pelosi and Reid refused to allow impeachment and that too was injustice.

Conrad, With all due respect, NO ONE knows how many people have been killed in Iraq-much less by whom. I don't know of anyone who believed Hussein was responsible for 9-11 either. Most of us saw overthrowing him as long overdue for other reasons. Libby of all people should never have been convicted.
