Do you think some people monopolise the threads to much?
Do you enjoy reading their posts or are they to over powering and intimidating, their view is right and everyone else is wrong?
That this person has an opinion on absolutely everything..
You tend to avoid the threads certain posters are in?
Do you find some peoples posts come across as aggressive?
Do you feel you are ignored in the thread and that sometimes it appears certain people chat to each other in the thread?
Have you ever been asked not to go in the same thread or answer another posters post.....
Do you prefer the fun threads or those that look at a more serious discussion which can become heated....as naturally we have different ways of life....
Do you think there should be some way of saying okay I said that as passions were running high but with hindsight I wish I had not...

If I say too much, as my best friend tells me, "I love you to death, but just shut up". I won't be offended. I just get on because I'm bored at the moment. Should I stop??
these are open threads for anyone to respond. No..I don't think anyone monopolizes any thread. If an opinion is asked...accept the answers given. Don't ask a question if you don't want answers!!
What DOES annoy me, is when people start threads and ask for an opinion....but everyone that disagrees with the OP is criticized

Absolutely agree with this..
If views are contradictory to your own, tough..
If you dont like the way the forums are, tough..
Thats the joy of an open society, live with it, dont whinge and get on with it!!

I answered yes to the poll, but I really don't care that much whether someone posts too much or not. If the Threads gets boring from their postings I just move on to others. I think everyone should write and post whatever and however often they wish.
I do enjoy the more fun and less serious Threads. I never go into the Threads that are always on the top of the list. In my opinion these folks are professional posters who have an agenda to get across and really don't care about others opinions. They just wish to disagree with everyone. I have no joy is discussing a subject with someone who is on the extreme end of the charts.
I think that nobody monoplizes the forums. Its public content. You can post a billion threads if you like, if others like it they will reply, if they don't they wont. There is noone pointing a gun to anothers head. Opinions will differ in any thread. Not much point in creating a debate if everyone agrees. Criticism is good. JMO.
I know I tend to post too often and come across aggressively at times - though I like to believe it's aggressive in a thought-provoking and not rude or insulting way.
Yes, I do avoid reading some people's posts (not many), and tend to avoid the non-serious threads, which I find boring. I enjoy discussing things of substance - no surprise to many here, I'm sure - and like it when people talk about things with passion. I'm not a fan of small talk...in fact, I find it rather off-putting in general. (By the way, how's the weather in Scotland these days? ).
I would prefer people who don't feel obliged to express an opinion on everything.
No, I also start treads and mostly end up with a fun side to it, if you dont like the opionions, they dont start one.
The world is full of War & hate, what is wrong with some Fun now and then. Ok that sometimes answers can be a bit hurtfull but usually there is a joke with it. Life is to serious as it is, anyway I stay far away from major disscussions anyway.
And if I have ever offended any body on here I am sorry.

all the bittering, burfing and such is unsightly, but there are always ppl who reports it anyways...
... as for controlling the rest of the criterion mentioned - highly subjective and impossible to achieve, hence unneeded.
Lets be honest, if any people are monopolising the forums, it is most likely those that are the regulars, the CS community. But it's all good. I think everyone should be allowed to post up any amount of threads they like on whatever nonsense they like [as long as it abides by the rules of CS]. If people don't like them, don't reply.
Doing what I do for a living I am always aware of the child who is sat at the back of the group who never gets heard...
There will always be people that are more confident and outspoken but it would be nice to hear and encourage those that are slightly more timid and not so self assured...
