Making your own wine is a good idea and a good way to save money. I'm looking into making my own cigarettes. Currently, after the investment in a good stuffing machine, the cost of paper tubes and tobacco bring the cost of a carton to $16.00USD. After the 4/1 tax increase, the cost will be $20.00, a far cry from the $62.00 + a carton will cost in my state. I look it the same as cutting back on eating out and doing more cooking and drinking at home. I've saved enough money by not going out to buy a big new grill and smoker. I should invest some of that saved money in exercise equipment too, I'm turning out to be a pretty good cook.

I'm not sure how much cigarettes cost around here now. But as a couple of months ago they were over $50.00 a carton. But I have been going to the Indian reservation to get mine. at $15.00 a carton.
But in the State of NY. there taxing about everything. And it is just messed up. extra tax on Soda. Diet Soda stays the same but regular soda has an obease tax on it. Is a matter of fact anything that has sugar in it is taxed. God for bid NY to get fat!

well the results of the poll seem to show that most agree with the tax on the cigs. ,but the only posts (I only read the first and last page tho)seem to think it is unfair so I would say that they are smokers, well I was one and stopped a few years back and well if the high prices no not make you stop maybe it will at least get you to think about stopping, if you think it is unfair then show them who is the boss and teach them they can't control you in this way and stop smoking that will teach them....
