CONS: - These types of services should always be free, it should be a crime to make money off people's loneliness.
- Well after paying a shit load of money, you still have to put up with ads so they can make a shit load of more money off advertisers, while abusing your paid right not to see ads.
- They do not have the most important thing to me, StarSigns, very important in knowing what type of person they are most likely to be (your StarSign is your base programming given to you by God) your life experiences create the rest of who you are.
- They conveniently have no way of receiving feedback from user, that should make you understand who they are working for, not you.
scorpiochi: I agree with you on the starsign . But at the same time in my opinion that is a limitation of who you could meet .
One good thing about there service if you are patient and keep an account they will give you free trial weekends .
The ones I hate (match.com) is you don't get to see who viewed you .
People misunderstand this all the time, so don't feel bad, but StarSigns only give you a starting point for what their personality could be like, their life experiences make up the rest of who they are, but this is a great advantage!
Remember!, no one can tell you your future, and people can outgrow there base programming, so always give people a chance, but understanding what they are most likely to be like is a good thing !
Oh I remember paying e-harmony money for three years ughhh!!!! On top of that. They were matching me up with thugs. I specifically stated the type of man that I liked and I kept getting "round the way guys" Then they e-mailed me and told me I exhausted my options, and there was no match for me. I closed my account, and they were still taking money from me for a minute.
So I told them enough was enough. They still email me, and ask me to reveiw my matches for free. I found my match here at the free site and I am happy as hell about it. I brag about it every chance I get.

i agree...same sad experience..been with eh for x1 year ...i am so happy hereeeeeeeeeeee at cs...no match yet but made friends here.....
When I used them 7 years ago the matches I got were all 20 or more years older than myself and although I am open to a range of 10 years either way I think that is broad enough for me.
They wouldn't match me with men my own age so I dumped them. I wasn't looking for my father and that's what they were matching me with.
Never paid a site to find love for me--never will. I prefer to pick my own match, not have programmed site statistic's do it for me...think I'll be a lot better off with MY choice.
hollandgirl: Conrad 1) No polling or soliciting of any kind for websites, products or services, or directing people to other websites.
CS themselves have add on here promoting othter sites so it must now be allowed
CS is payd money for those Advers, that's why we can enjoy ourselves here for free. If members here start soliciting for Sites on the other hand, that is Revenue lost to CS!
eHarmony is awful, in my opinion. I hate how you have to pay a GOOD chunk of money to use it properly. I had no idea, but I went out for the day and came back to find it said I had 3 emails and an IM, yet I can't view any of that because I wasn't a paid subscriber. Not only that, but it won't let me view who has viewed my profile either. You can't even look at someone's picture!! I don't want to pay for 6 months and I think $40 for one month is out of control.
Match.com wasn't as bad. At least on there you can look at their full profile and pictures. Still can't really contact anybody though.

I am sure that if CS saw what you all are saying they would be quite happy as everyone is saying how good CS is.
I did a free trial on that site, and they kept sending me much older men, so I wrote them and complained, because I am attracted to men who are my age and younger, sometimes much younger. They replied that "statistics" showed that that was what worked best. Well, I am not a statistic; I know what I'm attracted to! I left the site and am so HAPPY I found this site! I am having FUN here!

I think the Founder/CEO of Eharmony is in his senior years. Have you ever seen him? That's probably why their policy is to match women with much older guys, lol.

I found it disappointing. I used it for about a month. I found the whole eharmony process laborious - there are endless quizzes and things to complete but it took eons before you would actually end up interacting with anyone suitable. I had quite a few problems with basic things like photo upload & to my surprise, it was very hard to contact anyone from eharmony with questions or tech issues.

I used Eharmony, Match.com, etc when I lived in the States. All the money I spent and could not even get 1 realistic match. Always there was no one in my area, or no matches to meet my criteria, but they sure had no problems matching up my bank account with theirs.
If I did half of what they did for my employer...But of course no refunds...right
It's what they DON'T tell you that's fraudulent... once you join and pay for a membership, most of your matches are the "free memberships" which you cannot communicate with. Only paying members can communicate with each other, though they include non-paying members in the matches and don't even bother to tell you who's a paying member and who isn't. It's pure fraud IMHO!
eHarmony, Match, and Yahoo's Personals all work this way. It's not designed to be a good service, it's only designed to make as much money as possible... that's a poor business model IMO.
Also like most sites they never remove old abandoned profiles, if you make up a profile but then never log in again they just leave it forever so that it makes it look like they have a huge number of members when in fact there are far fewer members on their site.
If a person doesn't log in in over a month, they probably never will log in again so their profile should be removed by the system automatically.... don't ya think?
