Lionhearted1967: Conspiracy??? My gut says that what we are seing now was actually planned out so some could prosper off it. It has been done before, right?
If people would look into the pasts of who they choose then they would see.Look into the Bush family and what they are all about. Look into Cheney and his record. Look at who they are all associated with and it is quite clear.
On another note...
Why is the mainstream media more interested to tell you about Brittany Spears crotch than what effects "everybody" and what the people we elect to represent us do. It is like they have NO ACCOUNTABILTY!!!...WHY??????
It's been going on since the dawn of time. While the media are distracting the populous with their "reporting", Hollywood and sports are doing their part as well. Keep as many people occupied as possible with entertainment or BS. It's all there but so few see it for what it is. Sad state of affairs.
You know what? It would seem that way, wouldn't it? To say it is or isn't is just speculation. ...(The perfect psycholical profile).
It is amazing though that so many people rely on someone else telling them what is going on. You cannot always shoot the messenger though. They only report what they are told.
The thing I don't get is that even in the schools anymore they are not getting instructed to teach "common sense". You can't just blame them. The way the system is that even in an "average" working family you need both parents working. Usually they have to take different shifts or they depend on a baby sitter and pay the fees.
President Bush tells a single mom with 3 kids, one disables that she is "Uniquely American" and has the gall to ask her, "Do you get any sleep"?
There is NO relating on their part to the average person. These people come from wealth and it is in their blood to obtain wealth. MNeed I say more? I will say though...What is wrong with people whent ehy think wealth deserves an ear just vecause they have the money? They are usually the most crooked kind...lol
I still believe in my Constitution and the people whp penned it.
Thanks for the response. I am glad I asked for clarification as I initially thought you were talking about the GWOT which I believe has been brewing for a long time and I have a lot of respect for some of the things Reagan did and stood for while he was in office.
I don't claim a whole lot of knowledge about the inner workings or financial dealings with the Bush's and haliburton. Each administration since Reagan has had more than their share of corruption, scandal, etc.. It would be nice to see the whole bunch fall by the wayside and start fresh with a relatively unknown. It sickens me each time I watch the BS coming from the 2 major parties and am somewhat frustrated because the only thing I know for sure is who I would not vote for.
Let us start here. There was real fear in NYC on 9/11. Amyone wish to debate that? One just needs to return to the images of the day.
Historically, war time Presidents cannot openly and freely discuss many things. It compromises mission and operation security if they do. Think FDR would have made a public announcement of D-Day on say...June 1st? When you ask for more and more media information and for more and more complete answers from war time leaders, that is in essences what you are asking them to do.
A person ages when he/she put others into harms way. Look at President Lincoln late in his Presidency. President Bush is going thru similar trials here. I personally have had some of those same kind of personal experiences over the last few years. It is hard and it ages you.
We all want is to be inside the decision making process here. But that obligation and duty was given to Bush and Cheney in the vote. I don't like some of things done by this administration. But do you really think Kerry/Edwards would have handled the situations given better? or that much differently?
There is limitations to what even a President of a super power can do. Things like 9/11, Katrina, a sniper in Iraq pulling a trigger, he has little effect or no effect over. We all would like to have the 'buck stops here sign' on President Bush desk. But how many of us would want to sit behind that desk?
TTom50: But do you really think Kerry/Edwards would have handled the situations given better? or that much differently?
OMFG! you CAN'T be serious! I think YOU could have handled the situation better! I can garrantee you that John Kerry (a veteran of Viet Nam) would have never made the blunder of invading Iraq. We would have finished the job in Afganistan by wiping out the Taliban and Al Quida, Osama Bin Laden would be behind bars waiting for his death sentence to be executed if he was still alive by now and the poppy fields would have been converted to growing crops for food instead of heroin which are destroying the lives of millions of our people every year. That is what was lost by the colossal mistake that SO many Americans made when they went to vote for president in 2000 and again in 2004. It never ceases to amaze me what people will do when they are scared.
There's a saying that people get the government they deserve, I guess we don't deserve any better if we Americans insist on being stupid and afraid instead of digging for the truth and having the balls to fight for our freedoms.
Could Kerry/Edwards have done any worse? No need to respond we all know the answer.
agman: That picture above cracks me up. Typical scheme of republicans to ruin the economy so they can become rich when everybody else becomes poor. LOL
Whats funny is the person who created this photo is my uncle, and he is a Democrat! go figure!
Point I make here is this. Kerry/Edwards would have had the same military forces as Bush had for AF. Was It Bush's fault that bin Laden slipped through into Pakistan? Or that maybe that with the locals supportings him, he would have slipped thru no matter who was in the White House? No matter matter what forces we deployed? The Russians chased him around for a long time too and did not get him.
bin Laden and his group have been in these mountians for years. Tora Bora had been used by them during the Russian/Afghan war, years earlier. Terrian plays a big part here. They knew the terrian. In AF that favors the kind of operations and activities that AlQueada uses. This was a tough capture. What additional forces do you think Kerry/Edwards could have deployed or what other decisions they could have made to make it happen?
As for Iraq. I do agree. Other that taking a out a brutal dictator. Iraq is an error. We have placed a lot of political capitol into Iraq. But is there return here? Are we going to get a democractic Iraq our this? And have we gotten closer to solving the real issues of Islamic terrorism? Those are all questions up in the air.
This is not to say that our people there, have not done great things. They have. They often have been outnumbered in this urban environment fight. Often coming into well prepared positions of the enemy. And they have reduced the violence there. The surge has worked to a degree. A future withdrawal can be done....maybe a fast one or slower paced one.
If my memory is correct, and it is ....btw, Clinton's crew had the chance to take Osama out in the 90's, but there was some fear of collateral damage...what would the world think of him and his administration if there was collateral damage? Of course, hind sight is 20/20. It's not fair to judge Clinton based on that.
People have selective memories, it does seem. Virtually all free nations had intelligence that Sadam had weapons of mass destruction. Of course, that's important and convenient to overlook.
I'm amazed that someone would know what John "I'm a Viet Nam War hero" Kerry would have done...I doubt the he knows what he would have done. Another case of 20/20 hind site.
Truman had a 23% favorability rating when he left office... a little lower than Bush's. Fifty years from now it may be interesting to see how history treats Bush.

There's tons of insight.... a ruined economy gets people rich?
Lionhearted1967: LOL...I can honestly say I can't stand listening to him or seeing him. He is the worst ever president there has ever been. BTW..I got the same feeling from Reagan and Bush Sr.
NO.. I am not a Clintonite either. I consider myself more of a moderate...LOL

I use to hate him. I can't hate anymore. Somehow I identified with him and was able to see him as human. I don't remember exactly how I identified right now, but I strongly dislike his dirty politics and how he has hurt America so bad. Queezy, yes the thought of him makes me queezy.
