He is a Lt. Col. in the Army Reserves. Served 3 terms in the MA House and three terms in MA Senate. No word if he has done tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

When signing autographs in Washington, today......he signed his name and the number '41'. So he has a sense of humor.

He speaks well. MA voters definitely knew that he was against both FED Health Care and Cap and Trade.

He won 65% of the IND MA vote. Obama won 56% in the 2008 election.

DEM that have worked with him....says that he works across the aisle and votes the issue. If the issue is good for the people, he supports it no matter which side prepped and wrote it.

He has two years remaining on former Senator Kennedy term. So runs for re-election.........in.........2012.

Well, Dude loses another one. Too bad the Democrats can't control either the house or the senate with significant majorities.

Hugo Chavez got into the news today. How I am not quiet sure. But he managed to crawl into it.

He is accusing the US....of testing a earthquake device near
Haiti that caused the quake of 9 days ago. According to Chavez, the reason that the US is building and testing this device.....is cause earthquakes in Iran....to overthrow the present regime.

Considering the 200,000 people lost there lives in this quake. 1000s more injured. Property damages into the billions and the cost of the
international relief effort......I say put up or shut up, Hugo.

Give us proof. Not some wacked out, drugged out sceinctist with a bone to pick with US or a family sitting in one of your jails. But photos of the device. Technical measurements of its energy release when the testing occurred. American service men or women with so much guilt for killing 200,000 people, they have to whistle blow.

If any one wants to believe Hugo Chavez and his claim, have it. Show me the proof. Am more than willing to present to proper parties here in the US and in world. To the media for you.

Democrats really shall learn from you guys and standing more firm in what they acheive and what they have resulted in because they fortunatily have taken over! It is so easy to win over the quiet and as you mentioned before there is not even much fun with out debates and stuff and democrats have really been given your guys a lot space to say what ever and doing what ever and the situation in MA is because of this of course.

One year time after the presidency only and your guys have been busy shouting loud amoung americans whom have lost their lifehood and jobs and saving because of the most stupid presindet in american history and that is George w. Nancy Pelosi......the number three....in the Obama Administration
has said "Health Care as it now stands is dead". She does not have the votes to pass it in the House. Even with a majority in both the Senate and the House AND the Presidency for over 1 year period of time, the DEMs could not pass the central key piece of legislation that they have been pressing for decades.....health care. The central key legislation that Obama campaigned on.

It is not the REP fault. Not when they don't have power and votes.
Rather it is the failure of the DEM leadership to bring forth a
health care bill that could be explained to the American people,
brought mid road REP into supporting it, and was financially and structurally viable.

In 1 year of totally controlling this government, other than TARPs what key piece of legislation has the Obama Adminsitration passed, and signed? Think about it......I do, I don't come up with many or even any.

This idea of 'political battle' in America....is one that is self defeating. We were not structured by the Constitution, to operate like a Parlimentarian system where political battle is the norm. But rather one of compromise of position for the benefit of the people and to make a better government. In other words, aisle crossing.

But the left and liberal administration of the Obama Presidency decided that they could go a 'one party government'. Hence all the political games of not reading bills, of keeping REP out of the process, of back room deals between DEM to pass legislation. They felt after the November win, they had a Mandate for such a government.

That is how out of touch they were with the American people, that through the summer and the fall told them in town hall and in tea party......that is not what they were elected to do.

In MA the people said something different than this mandate. They said this will be a government of compromise and of two parties .....even though most were DEM and IND. American people's voice is going to force this liberal Administration to understand and to respect the spirit of the Constitution and the two party system.

If this Administration and liberal DEMs do not like it. They can leave Washington. Humbled and beaten, not by the people that voted them into office. But rather by their own refusing to compromise and respect the political opposition of the country and their fellow Americans.

I doubt you have any Inkling how a Republic and Democracy works.
Sadly you are stuck deep in tribalism,and try palm it off as a worldsaving panacea!

The Senate District that Brown won. Was the former district of the Lion of the Senate for 40 years. The man that wrote Health Care district. The DEM district that the Kennedy political machine made from.

I know that this does not mean much to you. But here in the US, to
those Senate and House members, that have hardly the machine, history or family name it does. Brown's win is very significant to them. They just saw a liberal political machine of 40 years broken.

That is why the DEM fractured in the house over the Health care. That is why Nancy Pelosi does not have her 218 for passing Health Care in the House. These things don't happen without reason.

Before the election Coakly got the support from a long list of DEMs, including the President. They put their endorsement on her, their stamp of approval, their recommendation to fill that seat of Ted Kennedy's.

The people of the Lion of the Senate district, rejected not only Coakly but this list of DEMs. That is why this is not just a small victory.

As for Mr. Deeds coming to town. )) 14 incumbant REP are retiring in 2010. 5-6 DEMs are retiring as well. So right now at least 20 new Mr. Deeds are coming to Washington in 2010. That number of retirements will grow the closer we get to the election. To 40 maybe 50 by the time we get there. REP are going to be finding Brown like canidates to run. Canidates that can bring IND, REP and disillusioned DEM to the ballot box.

REP are going to be looking to co op the tea parties...which I told you were IND, REP and disillusioned DEMs....and bring them into their voter block. Those people were called all sort of vile names and disrespected by the leaders of this government. They are going to vote a block this year and likely in 2012. They just did in MA and the two Gov races of this year.

DEMs so mis read the tea parties. Underestimated their strength in numbers. Their ability to glavanize a voter block. And to bring forward new ideas and new issues. While REP leaders like Grinrich, Palin, Huckabee were both behind the scenes and in open support of them. So yes the tea parties can be co op into the REP.

Like I said before the MA election.....President Obama went to there and said in support of Coakly...'let your voice speak' .....MA voters spoke and now the President is very quiet on what he heard from them.

But now the bad guy on the block are the big banks?......the same big banks that the DEM TARPed out of bankruptcy to the tune of billions of American Tax dollars? The same banks that were 'to big to fail'? All of sudden a little regulation is going to make them to big fail? By stopping their risky investments? Those same risky investment as the ACORN forced loans that they made? Not those risky investments! But the ones at the commodities market or stock market.

DEM are going to find the debate brought right back to ACORN and risky lending of FANNIE and FREDDIE that was also forced on the big banks. Because they failed to find a total solution to 2008 economic crisis in their Committee hearings. And presently REP Posey (R) has my paper on that cause and a possible legislated solution for it in review.

Barney just made the arguement to close Fannie and Freddie. To restructure how housing is financed in the country. This after
REP got testy after learning that the Presdient of Fannie was getting 6m in bonuses this year.

As one REP said.....he gets 6m in bonuses for losing billions.....

But of course Fannie and Freddie had nothing to do with the economic crisis of 2008. Not that they have not failed 6 times since being chartered after the Great Depression. No cycle of failure here, it was all big banking failure. We all know that, President Obama has told us so.

Does seem strange to close Fannie and Freddie when they are in prefect condition and running so smoothly. It was Frank's finance commmittee that had oversight of the two quasi gov't agencies. He said that back in spring of last year. But now after tasting some of the toxic loans they made....decided that enough is enough. The GWB Administration and McCain canidancy can take a hit of this failure cycle, but not the Obama administration. So junk them and start over.

Well Barney, your oversight is in question as well. Maybe we should just begin by junking you the next time you are up for re-election.

President Obama told us we need to 'fight'. He said it (or some word derivative of fight) 14 times in a town hall in Cleveland, yesterday.

Seems like President Obama is following Dudes advice here.....sees a political battle or employment battle or Taliban battle.....around every corner and behind every tree.

Like I mentioned in earlier post.....President Obama....to win in
2012....was needed to become a cross between John Wayne, Ghenious Khan and Alexander the Great....in the middle east.

Such a speech would work better at West Point, talking to cadets that would actually be going to the middle east, than to auto workers that have lost their jobs. A President needs to inspire, yes. But approraitely.

I think that this is President Obama big disconnect now. Something that aided him to win the nomination and election....was his ability to connect at the local level with a broad based platform. So broad in fact, that one could hear anything in that that they desired.

Now in office, the broad base approach does not work anymore. Specifics and details do. How are are you going to bring the unemployment down from 10%? What are the specific military goals and objectives in Afghanistan?

Specific answers to specific issues and problems of the country.

Pres. Clinton had a similar economic problem early on in his administration. He did a few things that might be advised for President Obama to consider.

1) He stopped trying to be leader of his party....and worked to be leader of the country.

2) He distanced himself from Congressional and Staff advice unless it detailed and specific to the problems. He cut out the 'camp followers' and the 'yes men' from his agenda time.

3) He spent an hour or 2 each day in in quiet reflection and thought to the issues faced.

These are good things for this President that has faced much and will face much more in the near future to consider. But to get the Cleveland auto worker into a 'fighting mode' is not the answer.
Rather working across the aisle with REP is.

The US Marines are out of Iraq. Yep, they just turned over their last mission area to the US Army. Good JOB Marines. Come home and have a brewski. Some R and R time.

But like always ...leave it to the Army to clean up after you.

They will need to add a new line in the Marine Hymn for Falluga, Ramadi and Anbar.

The last Marines should be out of Iraq in several month time.
