President Obama is stuck between a rock and hard place. He goes to the banks....says.....we gave you TARP funds for a bailout...now we want the money back and we want to tax you. Banks say...heck with that nonsense. You gave us the TARP money to recover the economy, does it look recovered to you? with a 10% unemployment rate? Plus you are sitting there on most of the TARP II funds anyways and have never shared them.
The banks says...now you are going to tax us? Why not tax GM and Crystler as well...they both got TARP moneys. Some of the banks have paid it back....they are saying we should be excluded from tax, because we don't owe you anything.
See what happens when fiscal inequity takes over and can be rationalized in a Administration? When Americans see the new tax rates under this administration....by the way they are now out....President Obama is going to be lucky to keep this country in one piece.

TARP.. actually the premise behind TARP is very well thought out and would of helped this country tremendously if done as they said. This is a topic I've known about, studied and even attempted year and half before happening. TARP has actually made a 15-17% return as Obama says and so far.. it's successful.. He is trying Conrad. I was thinking about this earlier today. Give President Obama another 3 years of practice in the minors and he will get it. That really is what Dude has been saying here....each time said....'in a couple of weeks'...or.....'soon, very soon'....or ....'just wait those Taliban and AlQeada are going to face Obama's wrath soon'.
I thing that we should of had the 2008 election....to be a practice session for Barack Obama. You know like preseason baseball here in the States. Had MacQuire or Bonds come in and give him hitting pointers, so he could swing the bat well all bulked up.
But he went from the minors to the majors to fast. Like "The Bird"
of the Detroit Tigers. One season and he was gone. He hurt his arm because he had not developed his game for the majors. Same thing with Barack...his game has not been developed for the majors.
The sad thing is.....304m American have put their lives on hold while President Obama gives minor league performances. He goes to Cairo and the Moslem world and give a more robust and inspiring speech than he does at West Point. What does that say? He goes to Copenhaggen and contributes $30b to keep the place from being burned down by liberal protestors while China and India throw darts at him and global warming funding. All the time the Europeans escape with a bill of only $3.4b.
Health care? Well that is a major league performance alright. Only one DEM running for a major office has won this last year. That by the narrowest of margins. Wait till we see those rates on those making less than the $125k.....who rates averaged 35% in 2009 get hit with their new
and improved Obama rates of 2010. You want to see a tax revolt/rebellion......well we is about to see it.
By the way....there is a difference between revolt and rebellion. A fine line......agreed......but a different. You can have a peaceful tax revolt....the tea parties are a good example. Rebellion? That is a different story. Texas has some that want to succeed from the union over this, that is a rebellion......and the penalties can be pretty stiff.

The NBAA National Business Aviation Association) is spooling up to send corporate aircraft/pilots to Haiti. Those men and women, many hard hearted REP, that got trounced in the DEM led auto hearing last year as being excessively costly in flying thier corporate aircraft around.
They will fly over about 500 miles of shark invested waters....to reach Haiti. Then return with injured Haitians to the states for needed medical attention.Or flying relief work in the island country. Or transporting Hiatian within the country. Or flt NGO teams into Haiti. Please don't ask what this going to cost out of their pockets because it is unlikely the FED. Gov't is going to reimbursement nor will the poor country of Haiti.

They had cars backed up for blocks at some of the polling places when they opened. Not enough room in the parking lots to get them in.
And the turnout, I think will help Brown. He went hard after the states 51% IND vote. IND are the ones in the off year and special election that don't show up. So he needs them to show in big numbers, to win.
But we will find out about 10pm est with the exit polling what the story is. But with the turn out, I dont think the results will be in till tomorrow.
If he wins, first time in 50 years a REP has been elected a Senator of MA.
The DEM made this entire Health Care bill Teddy Kennedy's before he passed....he wrote it....he pushed for it for many years....But now the people that placed him office for those 4 decades, are rejecting it, if Brown wins. What does that say?

It is non stressful job, Conrad. At least the way President Obama does it. Golf on Sundays. World travel to nice places. Several weeks vacation here and there.
David Axlerod tells this story. I just read it. They were in a cabinet level meeting covering the banking crisis last spring.
They had been at it for several hours. Decide to take a break.
President Obama says.....'time for me to get a haircut.'...so he leave without any major decision being made on the crisis.
So they reconvene without him. Then they decided at the meeting without President Obama in attendance to give Tim Geither the controversial powers that he was requesting on the banking crisis.
So it is not a stressful job, Conrad.....it all just depends if you know when to get a haircut.....
