Yeah, not only do I believe in love at first sight, it actually happened to me. Unfortunately (10 years later) divorce takes a little longer.
Lest I sound jaded, I have to add that I STILL think love at first sight could result in a really beautiful, substantial relationship -- it's all about individual choices & knowing who we are, right??? But it's definitely a proceed with caution kind of thing ~
Stockholm76: How does one know that they are attracted to someone by first glance? Then if there is attraction what do you do, pursue the person and then ask for a date or just allow the moment to be a moment in time and then move on to the next thing on your agenda? Any testimonies positive would be great!
There is a big difference between so called love at first sight(as your thread title states) and being attracted to someone at first site. How can you ask how does one know of you are attracted at first glance? either you are or you arent.
no its lust at first site,,, love comes later,,, its only when people meet then spend thier whole lives together that people say it was love at first site...
claudya: To like yes,to love no,u must meether/him in real face to face to feel love.
and yet, sometimes, merely seeing/and sensory deeply seeing the person without actually meeting right away can happen; it is not mere lust but something far more deep . What one does then is choose to pursuit the matter or to walk away and try to put the person out of your mind. Either way it is still a willful choice in the end.
I do often think that people on these dating/social networking sites are far too cerebral. There's nothing wrong with being a little shallow (if you want to call it that)... seeing somebody you think is nice looking and wanting to meet them and find out if the inside is as nice as the outside is.

I have heard of it happening but I think I would rather get to know who someone is, I have known a lot of very pretty ladies that had the peronality of a cod.

I believe that there can be a very strong attraction, as the person's personality emerges it will either reinforce those initial thoughts are very quickly make you think otherwise. I think attraction is a number of different things combined.

Think thats lust, and gets confused easily with 'love'
OMG! I did not even think about my spelling of site as apposed to sight....ha ha ha gives new meaning to love at first site or first sight.....definately meant sight...still does not convince me that it does exist.
